Parasite lawyer. Parasite parents. They've walked through the puddles of blood of the dead in order to profit. They have no idea whether or how much their child has been psychologically damaged and the only one truly liable for it blew his own brains out.

The attorney did say he was approached by the child’s parents within a week of the shooting.

While what happened was horrible, and I'm sure the child was traumatized, the perp is dead. He's responsible. To the extent the state didn't supply security, they may bear some responsibility. But 100MUSD isn't going to make the child whole. Only God can help her cope with the trauma.

Pinsky's claim said that the state Board of Education, Department of Education and Education Commissioner had failed to take appropriate steps to protect children from "foreseeable harm."And the idiots in the jury will agree, never realizing that it is THEIR money that they are handing over to the family... and it's to one of the families that did NOT lose a child, too.

Beneath contempt.
Such slime comes stock with many lawyer$, but with bodies barely cold, these 'parent$' are worried about their little darling having heard some cursing, etc.

Not to mention that the state will have $100 million less to do what they are complaining that they didn’t do.

Might be a good thing if local school boards can be made responsible for security. If your paying off lawsuits it would be harder to give your brother-in-law a maintenance contract or your daughter that full time admin job. Hell, you could give another brother-in-law the security job and continue to give teaching jobs to the kids of supporters.

My perspective on this is that if the State or Feds want to leave a school defenseless in direct contradiction to the 2nd amendment they should be held liable. Those who restrict us from defending ourselves should be held liable for not protecting us. The Constitution specifically states that the Fed is to provide for the common defense and if they take away our individual abilities they defend ourselves they should be held accountable for not doing so.
To: Teacher317
Now each family that DID lose a child or loved one should get at least twice as much... times 26...
And every other surviving child should get the same amount... say about 200 kids in the school...
$100 million x 200... plus $200 million x 26... that's about $25.2 billion total.
The Connecticut state budget for education is about $11 billion. So we need to shut down every school in the state for over 2 years because somehow the taxpayers must be punished for the acts of Adam Lanza.
