(NaturalNews) The reports are absolutely true. Facebook suspended the Natural News account earlier today after we posted an historical quote from Mohandas Gandhi. The quote reads:
"Among the many misdeeds of British rule in India, history will look upon the Act depriving a whole nation of arms as the blackest." - Mohandas Gandhi, an Autobiography, page 446.
This historical quote was apparently too much for Facebook's censors to bear. They suspended our account and gave us a "final warning" that one more violation of their so-called "community guidelines" would result in our account being permanently deactivated.
They then demanded we send them a color copy of a "government issued identification" in order to reactivate our account. Our account was removed from suspension just minutes before InfoWars posted its article on this Facebook censorship, and the Facebook page is now functioning at: www.Facebook.com/NaturalNews

This action from facebook, DESPITE the fact that hundreds of facebook accounts have advocated murdering NRA members, by name and executives by name. This is the new "nationalist" socialist party the democrats, at work. Eliminating rights, re-distributing for "fairness" and "fundamentally changing" the US from a Constitutional Republic.
You got the results you wanted. Why complain...or brag about it?
If Facebook is so rotten, why is Natural News (whatever that is) even there?
In the soviet union it was the government that took care of censuring speech and changing the history books.
In the USA, the government does it by proxy: google, facebook, yahoo and all the other a$$-kissing sycophants do it for free.
Others seem to have posted the quote and not had it removed.
I think it may have something to do with Natural News.

Facebook can allow or not allow anything they want on Facebook. It’s their property.
Isn't this what Obama and Feinstein want for America? Will anything the Senator and the president want in this bill do more or less to protect our schools (holding pens)? What happens when people are disarmed? Only the bad people will have arms and of course the presidents shadow army............Our Founders knew what tyranny can do therefore gave us the Second Amendment which allows us to protect ourselves from power crazed people like Obama, Clintons, Feinstein, George Soros, Islam and their "Brother hood. Natural News is a ‘truther’ site. I dunno why they are even allowed on Free Republic.
That may have something to do with why they got zotted off Facebook.
Not sure you get it— this is a revelation to the “natural food” nouveau hippies who voted for obama—assured that their “business” would not be hurt by the progressive agenda. There is also a subset of the “natural foods” types who are discovering “natural” non processed foods from hunting. Like Whole Foods with rifles in the woods vs. eating at bigmacs. Think of it— hippies in the woods, shooting squirrels (like a revival of Foxfire). Ghandi, their hero, with a gun. This is hilarious, and tragic at the same time, as they also learn that Martin Luther King had an “arsenal” of firearms, was a registered Repub, and that there are black NRA members (and GOA too).
The short answer—Natural News markets with facebook to uh, a broader range of granola crunchers. Many of whom are discovering conservatism the hard way, apparently.

I read that infowars web site picked, three of the pages at random and not one had been removed from FaceBook.
FB can set whatever standards they wish, you are free to not use their service.
It is known the Obama Aministration has paid operatives who infiltrate sites like Free Republic and cause contention through smears, insults and disinformation.
How do we know that you're not one of them? I've been reading Free Republic for over a decade and have seen quite a variety of opinions from members. It seems to me that the best way to destroy Free Republic is to start calling for witch hunts based on a couple of comments you disagree with.
I had a FB battle with some lib about this very quote 8 days ago...I just posted the article on that FB thread just to rub her over educated pseudo-intellectual face in it.
Shouldn’t it be called: “Optional Digital Image and Electronic Messenger”...?

I don’t know what got up Facebook’s backside, but the Ghandi quote is, in fact, being taken out of context. Ghandi was talking about the fact that Britain left India without a military when it was dangerously close to losing WWI to the Germans. This would have left India unable to defend itself from German takeover. When he talks about “depriving a whol nation,” he was actually referring to the nation of India, not its civilian population. Ghandi himself had no interest in owning guns or promoting personal gun ownership. Again, even though the quote is being misused, it seems like a pretty minor issue to complain about.
This is true my liege, to a limited extent. It being a public company, one would think that calling for the murder of individuals, by name and by membership in an organization— would not pass the “censors” (or their lawyers) of “community standards”. Like yelling “fire” in a theater, the First Amendment has been proscribed what this “speech” may be, except apparently at facebook- one of the proxy groups monitoring the people for obamaomau and company.
