If Every U.S. State Declared War Against the Others, Which Would Win?

These are the accounts of the Second American Civil War, also known as the Wars of Reunification and the American Warring States Period.

After the breakup, many wondered which states would come out in control of the power void created by the dissolution of the United States. There were many with little chance against several of the larger more powerful states. The states in possession of a large population, predisposition for military (i.e.) military bases, and a population open to the idea of warfare fared the best. In the long term, we would look to states with self-sufficiency and long term military capabilities.

Here are the states that held the greatest strategic value from day one. They have the ability to be self-sufficient, economic strength, military strength, the will to fight, and the population to support a powerful war machine.

California Texas New York

Others that have many of the qualities that gave them an advantage are also listed.

Washington Colorado Illinois Virginia Florida Georgia

For all intents and purposes, Alaska and Hawaii ended well enough since they were so far removed from the center of the country that they never really suffer greatly nor benefit from the shattering.

In terms of military bases, Iowa would fall in seconds. I believe Iowa is the only state without a military base (unusual for such a large state in terms of sq. miles). Plus Iowa has been run by progressives in both parties since the 1940s (see Henry Wallace and Robert Ray). Iowa is mostly a limp-wristed pussy state run by overly nice and weak willed people. Iowa also has zero Fortune 500 companies, and its economy is still based like it’s 1882. Iowa was also the only state not to double in population in the 20th century. It is a state that has been in decline for 90 years, and couldn’t even take over a county in any other state.

“So do I. In NY’s case, it’s economic engine wouldn’t fare well at all in a war situation”

Geesh..I have no idea how I got into this, or what it has to do with any of my post.
Let me state, all of the states are in deep doodoo under the Obamination presidency.
I am proud of my home and birth state of Tennessee.
I have no animosity to any other state, even Yankee states, haha.

I am now out of the loop, but I can feel your pain.
I am also a bit put off by some FReepers that want to castigate me for not being there to endure the pain.
Everyone should be able to choose his own life, for better or worse.
America was founded by men who were seeking a better life.
Well, the better life is now an illusion of the past.
My life may be no better then anyone elses life, but it is MY life.

“Grand Fenwick then plans an attack on the United States, certain this will lead to immediate defeat followed by generous American aid.”

Most lib states will adopt this war plan.

Article is BS. State Governments are the next logical political entity after FedGov™ collapses. The republic was designed that way. Yes urban areas are liberal but most (red)state governments are conservative and will quell the urban problem in those sates. The chaos in blue states is their problem.

AZ has one of the largest air forces in the world in mothballs, half of which is flyable in 24 hours, most of the rest air worthy in a week. We might struggle for ground troops but we WILL have air supremacy.

I think a lot of folks underestimate Arizona. I don't mind that at all. Anyways, I think the great vast state of Texizona would win in the end...

“Or to constitutionally enshrine the socialist, nanny state that 51% of the idiot population voted for in the last election.”

Putting aside that the product of any such Convention would have to be ratified by a majority of the states of which 30 have Republican governors, how is what you fret about different than what we already have or will have in 4 more years with present trends?

China:)

And the current form of the Federal Government - divide and conquer seems to be its theme song with the growing divisiveness. They want the People to go to war against the People so they can sweep up what's left.

Or to constitutionally enshrine the socialist, nanny state that 51% of the idiot population voted for in the last election.

It is too late - we are already there. Once ObamaCare passed SCOTUS as constitutional and Romney lost, the Republic died. Looking forward, once the U.S. Dollar crashes and Marshall Law is declared, anyone that attended a Tea Party rally will be rounded up and taken to a re-education camp , the Constitution will be taken out of it's case and burned. All hail Obama, the new Dictator in Chief of the One World Government of America under UN control

AKA America’s 3rd string air force. This place is the cold storage for planes they want available in case of a protracted war. It’s not a stretch to have them available in a week, it’s the GOAL. The entire idea of the facility is to have 50% flight worthy in 24 hours, 90% in a week. The engines that have been removed are in warehouses on site.

“More like Chicago versus downstate.”

I agree. But the funny thing is I live in DuPage county, once red but turning purple suburbs of Cook. While I would side with the downstaters, it might be against my own neighbors.
