I predict within a decade you can buy materials and 3D print a crude rail gun or even some form of laser/phaser pistol.
I cannot predict anything about one or multiple shot undetectable zip guns being made from 3D printers because they are already being made.

Which, when you think about it, is pretty hilarious. After all, stabbings are probably the number one type of armed assault in prisons.
It takes a certain kind of conceit to think that we can ever deny humans access to knives. We’re humans, we make knives, it’s kind of a specialty of ours. Any child can make one if you give them something harder than a lump of clay. Heck, I can take the clay, bake it, break it, and stab someone with the shard if I need to. Give me a glass of water, I can freeze it into something sharp and stab someone with that.
Don’t forget to saddle them with a couple hundred pounds of chain, Harrison Bergeron-style. Let’s see how agile you are now, Grasshopper!

Since when has requiring an amendment ever stopped the feds from doing whatever the heck they want? Or do I still live in a country that has a tenth amendment, an interstate commerce clause, the free exercise of religion, the right to be secure in my person and propetty from unwarranted searches, the right not to have my property confiscated for any but public uses, etc.? Thought not.
They won’t outright ban gun ownership, let alone knives. But that’ll be because of regular politics, not the Constitution. By the way, though SCOTUS has admitted an individual right to keep and bear arms, it STILL hasn’t incorporated the 2nd amendment among the states as it has the rest of the Bill of Rights.
If knives are like guns then knife handles are like gun magazines and should be next...just heppin Al out with the next ban. Help stamp out gun handles!
What about pointed sticks?
