Rep. Graves Says He Can't Support Fiscal Cliff Bill That Does Not Address Spending; Corker Says It's Time To Move On To Spending Cuts

Rep. Tom Graves (R-GA-09) issued the following statement on the fiscal cliff legislation passed by the U.S. Senate:

“The Senate bill offers no commitment to debt reduction, only a demand from taxpayers to bail out Washington. As taxes rise, freedom diminishes. But it DOES adress spending: $330B more of it! This added spending was not enough for some of the Dem Senators who voted “no”.

A sad night, this end of America beginning.

There are no conservatives to muster a government, or even a small coalition, of the force needed to muscle through anything.

Now comes the look in the mirror, on what we Americans will cooperate with, comply with and cave on.
