Bullies: Obama Administration Summons NRA to White House
Breitbart Big Government ^ | 1/8/13 | Ben Sharpiro

Vice President Joe Biden, who is heading up the President’s task force on gun control proposals, announced Tuesday that he would be meeting this week with the National Rifle Association, among other groups. And his timing is just a bit suspect; the day before meeting with the NRA, Biden will be meeting with gun control organizations and shooting victims. Presumably, his welcome for the NRA will be somewhat less hearty. The NRA, under heavy public pressure thanks to the White House’s bully tactics after the Sandy Hook massacre, said it would visit the White House

I expect the NRA....to give in.

Maybe some reasonable issues...but would not surprise me to hear them give into more strident idea's...

I trust no one....in this debate.

How thoughtful. What will your suggestion be when the next massacre is accomplished with 10 round mags?

Are you new to this topic?

The anti-gunners have been proposing federal solutions to the problem of armed criminals since at least 1934.

If we just outlaw machineguns and short-barreled shotguns, then everything will be so much better.

If we just outlaw mail-order rifles, then everything will be so much better.

If we just require all sales of new guns to go through federally licensed dealers, then everything will be so much better.

If we just outlaw manufacture of semi-automatic rifles with pistol-grips, then everything will be so much better.

If you haven't figured out that anti-gun laws have nothing to do with eliminating armed criminals, then you are just not paying attention.

Get a clue, NRA,

Do you actually believe the NRA is going to meet with the administration to compromise on gun control?

***as well as magazines that hold more than ten rounds of ammunition.***

But what about these?

John Kennedy killed with a 5 shot bolt action rifle.

Bobby Kennedy with a .22 Iver Johnson Cadet revolver.

George Wallace wounded with a 5 shot Charter Arms .38spl.

Gerald Ford attacked with a 7 shot 1911 semi auto.

Edmond OK post office with two National Guard 7 shot 1911 pistols.

Ronald Reagan and Jim Brady with an RG-14 .22 pistol.

What do they all have in common? NONE over 7 rounds, yet after each one came a cry of panic to ban them.

The NRA shouldn’t set foot inside the White House. That is enemy territory.

So the administration could accuse the NRA of not caring about the safety and security of the children. We know how the leftist twits operate.

The leftist lawyers know that the top mgt. of the NRA are weak on:

1) knowledge of the history of the 2nd Amendment

2) that the 2nd Amendment purposefully does not enumerate the reasons why individuals have the right to keep and bear Arms

3) that the 2nd Amendment purposefully does not enumerate the types of Arms - other than to use the capital “A” in Arms, which was the fashion of writing of the day, indicating that the weapons included the right to keep and bear military grade weapons of the individual able-bodied fighting man, as in bow-and-arrow, cutlas, rifle, pistol, knife, lance, pike, staff, and sword.

4) that the 2nd Amendment does NOT grant any rights

Obama intends to put La Pierre on the witness stand, out of sight of the public, but in a room filled with a biased audience, and get La Pierre to *allow* consideration of federal laws on matters that are rights of the people of the various states, and rights of the states.

The federal government has only 1 say with regard to the right to keep and bear Arms within a state, and that 1 say is, that BOTH a state and the federal government, must agree on what are *military grade weapons.* Where there is NO agreement, the state decides, NOT the federal government -— BECAUSE it is up to the state to choose which weapons are subject to the common laws of that state.

At issue, in legal terms, is that, now comes the federal government, seeking to USURP the common laws of the various states of the union.

La Pierre and the NRA have no right, no power, to allow as how Obama can do that, taking away the states’ powers to determine the common laws within.

Obama is looking for new territory where he can take over the common law of, for example, Pennsylvania, with regard to all matters of firearms.

The same as back when the federal government intruded into the states by abusing the interstate commerce clause to the point where the federal government insisted that it could dictate details about commerce *within* a state.

Now comes Obama, wishing to USURP all firearms laws within a state.

Next, will Obama come, demanding that only government-sanctioned media will be allowed Internet/radio/TV access; and then it’s goodbye free press and free republic.

They should summon a copy of the Constitution and have a tea summit.

The whole point of doing this is to put a face on their agenda like the NRA stamp.
This has nothing to do with discussion and Joe will certainly be his Assholish self
while pushing any button he can to piss off whomever shows up. It's a setup.

So the media vilifies the NRA

When don't they? Why give the media additional ammunition to use against us?

Gun control is working in Chicago. blacks are exterminating each other to help realize Margaret Sanger’s dream. Cross-purposes is an evil thing.
