Biden’s dumber than a sack of hammers... which are deadlier than a sack of rifles.

Who does the NRA speak for?

Think about it. The NRA can concede whatever it wants. Who do they concede for? What is their power over the people?

Perhaps the e administration believes the NRA speaks for its members. But, do the members of the NRA believe that? Will the members -the paying members tolerate milquetoast answers from the NRA?

As full disclosure, I am not a member of the NRA. I used to be, until I realized they were dollar hungry, not freedom hungry.

Nothing that anyone has proposed would have stopped the SH shooter and therefore is just political posturing. The thing that would have stopped/slowed this idiot is if the full capacity mags had been locked away. To me it sounds like a pretty benign proposal. Everyone gets to keep their mags but the owners must lock them up when not in use. If you use an AR for home defense you can keep a few 10 rounders handy. If you hear someone breaking in and you have time, get out the 30 rounders. Obama suspends the constitution, civil unrest, mob violence, zombies, going to the range, training, etc. get out the full capacity mags. How does that sound?

What??!! Are you F'ing kidding?? He stole the rifle used! What would have prevented him from stealing the magazines that were used??!!

I could handle this easily. Just say “no Joe”.

Exactly! There is nothing to discus. One does not negotiate with tyrants.

There is no reason to even give the appearance of respect or credibility to the the despicably and incredulous.

Boehner has yet to learn this lesson as does the Legislative Branch of our Republic.

It remains inexplicable why the White House and the media focus so heavily on the NRA when it is members of Congress who must make votes.

Alinsky 13. Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.

The ‘boy king’ summons the NRA to the White House.

I hope the individual in all his linguistic abilities tells Obama “**&^&^&**!!”

Don’t forget, National Firearms Appreciation Day is January 19th! Take a friend to the range that day!

Want to bet some money on it?

We can have some FReeper hold our money..........

And we can have a panel of FReepers decide if the NRA compromised or not.

What do you say?

What do you say?

You're not the sharpest knife in the block. The NRA isn't a legislative, judicial or executive body/branch of government, is it? So how exactly does it have the ability to compromise on legislation or EOs? It has the ability to lobby for or against legislation or challenge laws in the the courts, like any other organization with member and financial resources.

Are you anti 2nd Amendment or just anti NRA, the largest 2nd Amendment supporting organization in the world?

Number one...I think it's "the sharpest knife in the drawer" not block. Ha!! But whatever....maybe if you actually live in Alaska it is a block.

Number TWO....here's what you said that I originally responded to..

"Do you actually believe the NRA is going to meet with the administration to compromise on gun control?

And I said yes....And then you had a smart ass answer..and then I proposed a bet. And NOW...you change your tune.

I will say again...I think the NRA will compromise their position. Period.

If you don't want to put your money where your mouth is...so be it. No sweat.

Those of us who appreciate and use fine sharp cutlery would never carelessly keep it in a drawer.

I think the NRA will compromise their position

Position on what, gun control? Please explain exactly what you mean.

There cannot be a single concession on the issue. The NRA should blatantly point out that Obama has no authority to infringe on this right, and remind them of the meaning behind it. It’s unconstitutional, and we must find a way to openly defy any new infringement on our liberty. We can’t wait for them to confiscate our guns before we act.

You know you are a pain in the ass...( But I can be too...so we have something in common..)

First off...I was quoting the preferred phrase..And yes I have many knives...some in drawers..that actually have individual slots/keeper's for them. Some I just keep sharp...in sheaths.

So, AW...you don't have a lock on "Those of us who appreciate and use fine sharp cutlery" carp......Go bark up another tree. : )

Frankly, speaking....and maybe you can understand this. I think the NRA will concede some of their positions...and give the okay to Obanana...to do some things.

FWIW

Please let all of your ,or any active military friends and family know that can have a FREE one-year membership to NRA.

NRA offers troops free one-year membership

By Karen Jowers - Staff writer
Posted : Tuesday Aug 14, 2007 17:07:55 EDT

Active-duty military personnel are eligible for a free one-year membership in the National Rifle Association.

A one-year membership typically costs $35. This offer will run indefinitely, said Zach Price, workplace giving coordinator for the NRA Office of Advancement. It is also open to Guard and Reserve members who have been called to active duty.

Service members can sign up for the free year’s membership online.

Benefits of membership include a subscription to an NRA magazine, $5,000 worth of accidental death and dismemberment coverage, and $1,000 of ArmsCare coverage for firearms, air guns, bows and arrows against theft, accidental loss and damage, as well as other benefits.

“NRA wants to emphasize the partnership between itself and the military,” Price said. “There’s a lot of overlap with the military in shooting sports, training classes, and a lot of present NRA members are current or former military.” The NRA’s ties with the military reach back to 1871 when the association was founded by two Union army veterans.

“We want to give a big thank-you to our active-duty troops,” Price said.

As with all similar association memberships, he said, members are asked if they want to renew at the end of their membership, as paid members.

That's 100% spot-on. Every single "proposal" that comes out of this ought to have the question "and how, exactly, would this law have prevented the Sandy Hook shootings?" thrown at it.
