Oh geesh. Give it a rest, PC Tyrants.
(I find it funny that all these PC-laden fans support this team - you know, around DC we’re all liberal and about “diversity”, yet I don’t know 1 liberal Redskin fan that gripes about the name or logo. Hypocrites.)
I don’t know why this is so offensive. So you have red skin. So what?
Actually it is the worst version of the very long list of Indian (OMG! Did I use that term?) names on sport teams. Including “Indians” and every tribe under the sun. Those are legitimate names, not just a descriptor. But it’s not meant as an insult - why would one call oneself after something one despises?
In the short time Cousins played QB in the Seahawks game he had 3 completions 2 of which were for first downs.
He was in at a time when the Redskins had all but lost. The Seahawks knew he had to pass and they played the pass on every play. Despite some strong pass rushes Cousins avoided being sacked several times and avoided throwing an interception. On most plays he had little time to throw.
Cousins played very well against Baltimore. He drove the Redskins down the field late in the 4th quarter and completed some difficult passes to get the Redskins into a tie. He also rushed for a two point conversion after throwing a touchdown pass.
Cousins played well against Cleveland, a team that had beaten the NY Giants a few weeks earlier.
If all you say is true about QB Cousins, and I have no reason to doubt you, the Redskins coach made a big blunder in not taking RG3 out much sooner. However IMO Seahawks would still win by a coupe points. I watched the game and all I remember is Redskins were flat offensively in 4th quarter. My bad in claiming Cousins had no completions.
