Slightly off topic but I bought my dad an Army baseball cap for Christmas. He was wounded fighting the Korean War and generally doesn’t falunt his service. But he wore the cap Christmas Eve, and my nephew took a quick photo. It was a fine moment possibly not represented well within these thoughts but, a fine moment, nonetheless.

SOUP FOR THE TROOPS

WELCOME TO THE

(where our troops, allies and their families can refresh themselves)

Good morning, Everyone.
Good morning to our

Military, our Allies, and their families.

Thank you, Ma, for preparing the Canteen for today's activities
Another nice visit with the troops.
For me it's sad to see so many of the wounded.
But then I ask myself it the same spirit they show in moving on
(such as competing in sports)
is the same spirit they use in joining the military.
God bless 'em all.

DC METROLAND WEATHER

~ Today...Mostly sunny. High 53F.
Winds N at 5 to 10 mph.

Leather money was used in Russia

Hurricanes, cyclones, and typhoons spin

The bouillon cube was once a common snack food

The FR Canteen is ALWAYS

Running behind again. UGH! Be glad when FRiday gets here.
Please stay right where you are.
Keep the troops entertained and the Canteen clean...
