HARTFORD -- While doctors and scientists conduct a battery of toxicological tests and genetic analysis to help determine what turned Adam Lanza into a psychopathic killing machine Dec. 14, the state's chief medical examiner doubts the reports will offer any answers. Already, he said, an examination of what remained of Lanza's brain showed nothing unusual.
"It's a fishing expedition," said H. Wayne Carver II, whose autopsy of Lanza is one of nearly 1,000 he has conducted during his 30-plus years of experience. "I don't think we'll find answers. But that doesn't mean you don't look."
Lanza murdered 20 students and six educators during what appears to be a video-game inspired killing spree at Sandy Hook Elementary School. He ended the terror by putting a gun to his head.
Carver said the examination of Lanza's brain showed "no tumor...no gross deformity."
But the medical examiner didn't expect to find a gross deformity.
"That would be associated with very severe disabilities," Carver explained. He said people who suffer from such deformities usually require a "custodial" setting.
Additionally, an often-published photo of Lanza gives the impression he had a large head and might have suffered from a genetic mutation called Fragile X syndrome.
Fragile X is "the most common cause of inherited intellectual disability and the most common known genetic cause of autism or autism spectrum disorders," according to the National Fragile X Foundation.
The mutation involves the FMR1 gene not producing enough protein for the brain to grow properly. This causes mental retardation, usually in boys, and the individual is left with deformities such as a large forehead or a big face.
"We measured his head and it fell in the normal range," Carver said.
The toxicology exam, which could take several weeks, involves testing a person's urine, saliva or blood for up to 30 different drugs at a time.
Carver said tests are done to determine if the person has taken any type of drug that might "affect behavior."
He said these would include psychiatric medications used to treat anxiety, seizures and other issues. The toxicology exam also looks for pain medication, vitamins and natural supplements, along with illegally obtained drugs and alcohol.
"We don't test for marijuana," he added. In this particular toxicology test, Carver said he'd be looking for the "presence or absence" of particular drugs.
He said the result could provide "potentially valuable information" in creating a full picture of Lanza.
As for claims Lanza suffered from Asperger's syndrome, an autism-related disorder, Carver said that requires a "functional" test and in this case, the patient was deceased.
Additionally, Carver was asked if he thought any biochemical issues like an excess or deficiency of dopamine, serotonin or other neurotransmitters might have played a role in Lanza's behavior.
"Don't over read on that," he warned.
"Inborne errors of (issues like) metabolism are not subtle," he said. "Most are fatal."
The irony of it all.

So then the video we see of that trunk being opened in the dark was taken at 3:00 AM???? And there just happened to be a news copter hovering over head at 3:00 AM to capture the moment???
If the police waited that long to open his trunk [which may have had a bomb in it] with his car parked no more than 20 feet from the entrance, that would have been investigative incompetence.

I think all the misinformation in this story came from a media who had poor sources who had poor sources who had poor sources. In a crisis people want answers immediately and the media is always willing to oblige its viewers. They want to be the first with breaking news and updates — factual or not — and they may or may not correct the facts later.
And now these media talking heads are immortalized on You Tube videos saying things that are known to be false. And worse yet people are still quoting these you tube videos as factual.
Come on let’s wake up —

The media and police changed the story around multiple times, which leads anyone with a brain to believe that they are all LYING THEIR FACES OFF about what happened.
Notice the one industry that JOE BIDEN has not met with ... the pharmaceutical companies are getting a pass on this.

None of the police said anything until the press conference and there was nothing said at the press conference that has subsequently changed.

He made some comment about people on the internet spreading misinformation.
One of the worst was spread by ABCCNNBCCBS and continued for days — that Adam Lanza’s mother was a kindergarten teacher at the school and that he had an altercation at the school the day before.
This could have been easily sorted out and dismissed but it wasn’t until days later.

It sounds to me like the official story that NBC was going with was that handguns were the weapons used in the school — not the AR-15. Either that or they just misunderstood. They were told that there were 4 guns found and thought they meant 4 handguns.
Think about it. If they intended to blame everything on the AR-15, why would they be propagating the handgun story???
The reason that I say this is because the other channels that I was watching got the story about the guns involved right. NBC was embarrassingly wrong here.
And the maker of this video doesn’t know a shotgun from an AR-15. Either that or it is intended for people who don’t know the difference, because that was a shotgun pulled out of the trunk not an AR-15.
I think that is just what Barry Soetoro wants: deplete the military of any and all Patriots - then it’s much easier to do the dirty deeds.
Which is actually quite a formidable task, and not easy nor quick to accomplish. I have 'destroyed' two hard drives simply because I wanted the magnets out of them. It took several days, with a hammer, chisels and a vice.
