J.C. Penney Co Inc (JCP.N) slid as much as 8 percent on Friday after UBS published a research note saying holiday quarter sales have likely been worse than expected and questioned the retailer's ability to roll out its new shops on schedule. -snip- UBS analyst Michael Binetti lowered his forecast for Penney's fiscal fourth quarter, which is still underway and includes the holiday period, and expects same-store sales to decline 28 percent, from an earlier projection of a 20 percent decline.

I was reading an article on “worst CEO’s” earlier today and J.C. Penny’s topped the list. If the article is correct, basically every move the guy has made (can’t recall his name - I think he used to work for Apple) has ended up being a misfire and many decisions have angered their customer base.

There was a day when a popular entertainer’s endorcement could really move sales. I think that day has passed.
For one thing after 75 years people have learned that these people will say anything about any product for noney.
Secondly we are so saturated with advertising we just don’t notice it anymore.
Yup changed the pricing structure and sales dropped. He came from Apple and made JC Penny one of the top 5 hated companies in the country.
JC Penny hasn’t been a player for 20 years. They must change their faggot model to something that appeals to the other 98%.

People get their entertainment more places too, diluting the idiot box’s influence. I also think she has poor drawing power. Mostly she is boring.
I think a vast majority are turned off by dykes. Even subconsciously.
It appears homosexual men and women aren’t very interested in home products - now, if it was one big sex shop, it would be booming.
I always bought curtains and bedding at Penneys but never again and those departments have been downsized to stuff I wouldn’t have anyway. I cut up my Penneys card and sent them a message to stop the catalogs as they were full of gay men and women and I didn’t want that trash in my house. I don’t get those catalogs anymore.
'Transformation' isn't working for America, and it isn't going to work for Penney's, either...

I agree with you to a point. I think the decline of JC Penney is multifactorial.
I used to shop there in the 90’s. It used to be that they offered a product of relative quality at a decent price. Now their merchandise is of poor quality. Last time I bought something there it fell apart quickly. You can buy cheap chinese goods at a variety of places why spend more for the same junk you can buy at Walmart and Target. Just because Ellen says so? I also do think there is a percentage of people who will look elsewhere because of the company’s LGBT support. Look what happened to Oprah after she endorsed Obama.
People who want the “department store experience” will shop at Macy’s while those looking for more economical options will shop at walmart and target, which leaves JC Penney losing money.
I remember my former tried to get a sales job there. They apparently pay their sales clerks very little and you have to move a lot of merchandise in order to make any money (and the mall she worked out was in rapidly decline and has since gone defunct). Given the clientele at the time, had she worked there, she’d have been working there almost for free.
Even that picture was changed to show the degenerate to be larger than the men . . . look at the edge of the table, and you can see that her table is thicker than the guys’ table . . . the degenerate homosexual probably made them make her picture look bigger to show how small and stupid men are. Disgusting.
At the current rate of decline, JC Penney won’t be around in 2015.

Actually if she were not in our face every moment reminding us that “I’m Gay! I’m Gay! I’m Gay!” I would not have a particular problem with Ellen.
Certainly she is nowhere near the top of the list of celebs whom I find objectionable. If she had stayed in the closet I might even give her a “passively acceptable” rating.
