Because the Communists, Marxists, Socialists, Islamists, and Liberals understand Americans, they will be able to use American virtues against us. They have studied us for decades to learn our weaknesses and our strengths. They have been patient. They had nothing to lose and everything to gain by destroying America. They know that we are trusting, to the point of naivety. True Americans believe in hard work and enjoy the feeling that comes from succeeding, and we believe in honesty and respecting others. We also have a tendency to believe in the truth. Because of our standards, we have a tendency to think that everyone else thinks just like us. They don’t. What we see as virtues, they see as weaknesses and vulnerabilities. We invite them into our homes to feed them; and when they leave, we can’t find our silverware or jewelry. We offer them a ride, and they take our car. We invite them into our country, and they disrespect our laws and try to make their own. We offer them some of what we have, but that is not enough; they want it all.
They know that we only want to see the good in everyone, so they know we are exposed. They know that if they tell us their politics of hate is really a religion of love, we believe them... they are standing in the middle of the street laughing at us because of how easy we are making it for them to steal our beloved country.

I think the Obama camp DOES know what they are stirring up. Just this morning I heard on FOX that Obama is talking about another Executive Order granting amnesty for all.
Obama knows there are very few Patriots in DC who have the guts to give up their cushy lives with their taxpayer funded retirements to put a stop on his Unconstitutional actions.
I believe this is pure intimidation and instigation. He is purposly pushing citizen’s backs against the wall with only one way out. If people take that way out he will unleash hell on the country via law enforcement and military.
Thing is, if you don’t take action, he wins hands down with very little sweat. He becomes dictator Obama.

The goal is not gun control in and of itself. The goal is to constantly agitate and whip up the emotions of people, one against the other, first this way and then that way, and while the people are focused on their feelings, those in power will continue their efforts to control and vanquish the population.
Hell, this isn’t even new political strategy. Lenin came up with this 100 years ago.
In fact, it’s even worse than you post suggests. If there are unforeseen circumstances, that is perfect for those in power to further use and manipulate in their efforts to obtain power. In the case of gun control, those in power waited patiently for some massacre somewhere to occur at the right time, and when it happened, they sprang into action.
Rep. Gabby Giffords was a preview - remember what they tried to do to Sarah Palin and Rush? The Aurora theater shooting was too close to the election, so they remained quiet. Newtown, however, was picture perfect to use as a pretext for gun control - it involved kids, it took place after the election during the traditional “honeymoon” period for the new president, and there wasn’t a lot of other news. Don’t let a crisis go to waste, as someone once said.

I think you’ve nailed it. Add to that hubris. I think all the power has gone to their heads. They have become blinded by what they like to think of as their success. They think the tiger is asleep. They are going to be surprised when they get bitten.

They understand “self-interest”, which in a false manner characterizes the “American” people. The people though are digging their own graves but don’t understand.

What possible thing do these nasty, nasty people think that they gain by destroying the goodness that America holds? Their systems have obviously failed miserably. The only thing that makes sense to me is that many of them have pacts with Satan, who they think will promote them. This too, though, is pure insanity.
