With gun orders backlogged due to the incredibly high demand, I’m sure the manufacturers won’t even notice if Walmart stops selling. There are lots of independent dealers who would gladly take Walmart’s share of the supply.

What is MORE, Wal-Mart does not sell so called “assault weapons”, WHY? What IS an assault weapon? It is defined by the media and the manipulators as being “military style” assault weapons. OK— what are the FACTs please?
They are semiautomatic rifles——which only LOOK like the military version... and have a BIG difference.

The US military calls these “Rifles”... then they are specifically designated “Assault Rifles”. “Assault Rifles” as defined by the military are “Select Fire” “Rifles” capable of being fire in “Semi-Automatic” OR “Automatic” mode (the automatic mode is known in common parlance as a machine gun). Machine guns have been banned for civilian ownership since 1934 (except for those who pursue and pay for a Class IV license and sign a waiver for the 4th Amendment rights for the weapon).

So— what should happen is we not let the media describe what is “bad”. We have been here before. That’s number one.
Number two is that the Second Amendment was created meaning the civilians, the citizens militia were to be armed just like the military. And, we have NOT been since 1934.
We cannot let the media and stupid people generalize what these rifles are-— define terms— make them understand and then-— demand they leave law abiding people alone with their un-trammelled and un-infringed rights.

Correction, Class III, think it used to be class IV.

All you people making a big deal about my use of the term “assault weapons” need to do two things:

1.) reread what I wrote (”Actually, the Walmarts in my neck of the woods do sell military style black rifles (what Chucky calls an assault weapon) . . . “ I clearly stated it was his term, not mine.

2.) Stop focusing on semantics and get in the game. The gun grabbers are defining “assault weapon” in the laws they write. That becomes the legal definition, not what YOU think it means. Spend a lot less time being Mr. Gunman and spend a lot more time writing your Congressman.

Oh, and send a check to the NRA-ILA while you’re at it.

You may call it semantics, others believe words mean things— like what do the words— “shall not be infringed” mean? This Amendment includes the actions of any so called “executive” order which would infringe. Obamaumao gumming up the administrative works is one thing, banning is another and he will be in violation of our Constitution.

NO public discussion should begin with the other side being allowed to define the terms- and thus carry the conclusion on a falsehood. The usage is in complete disagreement with what the US Military calls a firearm. It HAS to be brought- right in their face. For example: “Military assault rifles are already banned for civilian use in this country—so WHAT rifles do you want to ban?”

That sort of conversation. It is not some legal deal— no matter what one thinks about politics as usual. It isn’t.

Steven G. Miller

Dear Mr. Duke, Mr. Millner, Mr. Hagale, Mr. Pratt, Mr. Webb, Mr. Faldyn, and Mr. Miller,

I write today with a heavy heart; the tragedy that occurred in Newtown, Connecticut, has left an indelible imprint on our national psyche. As a parent, my heart goes out to all of those who lost loved ones in the tragedy as well as the survivors. The people of Newtown —and all our fellow Americans—will have a long journey to try to understand how such a horrific event could occur. On a national level, there is a thoughtful discussion underway about specific legislative approaches to prevent a senseless massacre like this from occurring again. In the meantime, I respectfully request that you temporarily suspend all sales of assault rifles such as the Bushmaster .223 assault rifle and AK-47 rifle.

The Bushmaster .223 allowed Adam Lanza to fire enough rounds to put multiple bullets in each of the twenty slaughtered children in a span of two minutes. It may be that there is an appropriate role for weapons like the Bushmaster in the hands of civilians, but today it is difficult to imagine what that might be. I hope to work together with you to evaluate our laws and identify the best way to balance the rights of individuals with our responsibility to protect the most innocent among us. I am disturbed, however, that while that conversation is ongoing, sales of assault rifles are reportedly skyrocketing and those resistant to change are planning events such as “National Gun Appreciation Day” to protest these conversations. I believe that these activities are counterproductive to the open dialogue we have begun.

As the President recently said, “Our first task [is] caring for our children. If we don’t get that right, we don’t get anything right. That’s how, as a society, we will be judged.” I agree with the President and believe that every necessary step must be taken to protect innocent children. Therefore, during this time of grief, reflection, and sadness, I would ask that you follow the action of some of your peers and suspend sales on assault rifles both online and in your retail stores. I also hope that you will join in a conversation with the American people regarding these weapons and how to appropriately respect both the Second Amendment and the safety of our children.

Thank you,

Charles E. Schumer
United States Senator

Should have been more careful about my response. Forgot which thread I was on. A bit reduntant.

The Dems are convinced they are no longer subject to the Law. Even the Constitution.

They choose to ignore that the Bill of Rights were rights given by God, not Government. And cannot be taken by man.

I they choose to destroy the compact that binds out government, there will be consequences. Serious Consequences.

"Still worried about Alex Neumann?" she asked.

"No, I-" he started to say, then stopped. "Well, yes, of course I still wonder where he is," the President corrected himself, "but that's not what I was thinking of just now. Jews don't eat pork, at least Orthodox Jews don't, but do they raise it?"

"What on earth are you talking about?"

"It was something Irwin Mann said this morning. I had a lot on my mind and it didn't register. Now it doesn't make any sense. I'm sure I heard him correctly, though; his accent's not that heavy. It was when I asked him if he really did have business to attend to in Missouri."

"What did he say?"

"He said yes. He said he had to go feed his hogs."

I wish they sold Norinco AKs. They sell everything else that’s made in China.
