The White House has identified 19 executive actions for President Barack Obama to move unilaterally on gun control, Vice President Joe Biden told a group of House Democrats on Monday, the administration’s first definitive statements about its response to last month’s mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

Later this week, Obama will formally announce his proposals to reduce gun violence, which are expected to include renewal of the assault weapons ban, universal background checks and prohibition of high-capacity magazine clips. But Biden, who has been leading Obama’s task force on the response, spent two hours briefing a small group of sympathetic House Democrats on the road ahead in the latest White House outreach to invested groups.

Here we have the Executive branch, which has bribed the common people with property taken by force from their neighbors, to obtain a popular mandate which places them above the law. This is how Republics die. Ask any Roman how Gaius Julius Caesar did it.

If he does, and the RINOs don’t initiate impeachment proceedings, things are going to get hot.

Yes the Feds are so great with guns and overseeing their use - as in Fast and Furious. The Justice Dept could handle all this for us.

The DemocRATS! Doing what we always accuse the Republicans of wanting to do.

Our rights and freedoms are being taken away quickly. The contract between We the People and the government has been broken. The Bill of Rights is toast. We now have a dictatorship in this country.

And impeachment did how much good with Bill Clinton? And the Repubs controlled the Senate then.....

Who ended up being painted as the “bad guys”?

I agree they need to do it - should have already on other matters. But they need to do something with teeth in it.

And there are almost no Repubs in either House or Senate with any teeth.....

At this point, anything is better than nothing, but nothing is what they will do.

The Battle of Athens was an armed rebellion led by WWII veterans and citizens in Athens and Etowah, Tennessee, United States, against the tyrannical local government in August 1946.

On MSNBC this morning, Joe RINO and the Lefitists were begging the GOP to “embrace moderates like Colin Powell” to make the Republican Party stronger.

This tells you everything you need to know about the current GOP. It needs to die. The RINOs should join the Big Government Party that wins elections, the Democrats. Patriots who believe in individual rights as recognized by the Constitution ought to oppose them with every fiber of their being. There is no middle ground.

"If he does, and the RINOs don’t initiate impeachment proceedings, things are going to get hot."

That means you, spineless republicans. Aiding and abetting domestic enemies through cowardly inaction makes you a domestic enemy.

My healthcare was the last entitlement under the American social contract that any of you people are going to be taking from me.

There’s nothing else to say.

Reading that article leads me to believe the leftists are already on the brink of calling this campaign against guns a near total loss. There has been the overwhelming and unreported power of the public's negative response to all this talk. You can get a good enough scent of the raw numbers by looking at nothing other than gun and ammo sales. With Biden admitting all they can get done via EO is enforce existing law, I'm thinking they won't even get a positive vote on a magazine ban. This is political poison and they all know it.

After all this smoke clears, all they will have accomplished is making us a lot poorer and gun dealers a lot richer.

Yes, you are correct. I will update to 79 years using this information
A famous and widely publicized case where fully automatic weapons were used in crime in the United States was during the Saint Valentine's Day massacre during the winter of 1929; this Prohibition-era gangster sub-machine gun mass murder led directly to the National Firearms Act of 1934, which was passed over a year after Prohibition had ended. Since 1934, fully automatic weapons have been heavily regulated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF), but ones manufactured before May 19, 1986 are available to citizens who are not otherwise prohibited, in those states that do not prohibit them, upon paying a $200 transfer tax, submission of a full set of fingerprints on FBI Form FD-258, certification provided by the local chief of police, sheriff of the county, head of the State police, or State or local district attorney or prosecutor, and approval by the BATF.
A larger number of years only makes Gun Laws even more stupid.

“Who ended up being painted as the “bad guys”?”
***********************************************
[rhetorical answer to your rhetorical question]

The Left controls the media.

The media controls the “paint brush and palette”.

Conservatives will ALWAYS end up being painted as the bad guys, no matter what we do.

Therefore, since we will be labeled (libeled?) the bad guys anyway, DO THE RIGHT THING!

The old school-yard rhyme said, “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.”

If we (and the conservative members of Congress) are such wimps that we cower at the threat of mere words, what will we do when they bring out the “sticks and stones”?

Rep. Steve Stockman (R-Texas) said today;

"The President’s actions are not just an attack on the Constitution and a violation of his sworn oath of office – they are a direct attack on Americans that place all of us in danger…If the President is allowed to suspend constitutional rights on his own personal whims, our free republic has effectively ceased to exist."

There are many patriots in our military and law enforcement. There isn't going to be public support for any government attack on American patriots. The movement is larger and more mainstream than it has ever been.

Reaching out to those who will have to enforce Obama’s tyranny is something that should continue, but there is no doubt already a significant support within those forces. Our military combat units could easily refuse action against other Americans on American soil. Refusing an order like this isn't the same as deciding to violently resist. As soon as one man stands up I think it would sat off a chain reaction.

I also don't think federal law enforcement want anything to do with even a small armed resistance. We have to remember that our times have changed. The vast majority of Americans can't even accept the realities of war anymore which is why we haven't won a war since WW2. Most Americans will sat on the sidelines, and after any significant resistance our law enforcement agencies like the ATF would lose their will once learning what it will cost to escalate the situation.
