Just to put government spending in perspective....
With just the deficit portion of the federal spending in the past 4 years ($6 Trillion), the fed could have cut checks to every single living human in the United States (regardless of age) for about $19,000. In my house, the guvmnt would have paid me about $76,000.
Some of those mamas without baby-daddys would be rich.
Krugman is just plain stupid.

No, the powers that be just know that if people really understood the scale of what has been done to them the civil unrest they fear down the road would be here now - today. Pretending there is a light at the end of the tunnel is just a stalling tactic while individuals are disarmed/de-fanged.
As a white man, the government has had official policies for years that were a de facto declaration of war (affirmative action); these policies have reduced the white birthrate to a trickle, and disenfranchised a whole generation. The United States has been sold.
You could stimulate this economy for years and it would not pick up. The problem is the government regulations and policies won't let it up off the ground.
When economic conditions are right it will accept a stimulus and expand. This is why marxists economies always fail.

Krugman knows there is a huge energy boom happening and he wants obastard and other Marxist scum to get the credit for what that generates for the US.
According to this, if I am broke, I can just go out and write checks for stuff. Before I know it, my household income will be increased and I will no longer be broke.

Exactly. Obammie the Commie proposed absurd budgets for the past four years and the Dims gladly rejected them because if a budget is not passed, the preceding budget is the de facto budget, which has included every year for the past four years that initial 800 billion.

My bad. I forgot Bush’s 2008 budget to the Democratic Congress was DOA. He wasn’t the one who signed the 2009 budget. Obama did. But Bush was blamed for it.
