After seeing O on stage with those kids I am leaning towards the idea that we should put blinders on and support anything that is claimed to make the children safer, as long as it involves more government control.

Its the thought that counts after all.

You folks do ‘love the children’ dont you?
(I think your Dr must ask you that now.)

What caused me to disbelieve the story completely is he said the bullets were the kind that would basically not go through the body but they expanded and stay there. This brought up a major red flag.

You're spot on accurate - a .223 round would easily pass through, especially at close range, regardless of the type.

It would be nice if there was a freeper from Sandy Hook that could fill us in on why no one has heard from any of the people that actually were there.

Are there any freepers from that part of CT?

I’m sorry, but you are wrong. The police never said the Bushmaster was found in the trunk, the MEDIA said that. I believe the confusion probably arose because some federal official told a reporter that a “long gun” was found in the trunk, and since reporters have no clue about gun terminology, they assumed he was referring to the Bushmaster.

The police have always said the Bushmaster was found in the school, and at the ME conference, when a reporter directly asked “But the long rifle was found in the trunk?”, he was told immediately by two separate officials that he was incorrect.

Either way, there is no need to take my word for it, since we have video of the recovery of the “long gun”. Go watch it yourself, if you have a decent knowledge of guns, you should be able to tell that it is not an AR-15, or any kind of rifle at all.

I think we should do away with all gun free zones in any public place and let teachers be armed if they want. We should do away with all CCW permits and make open or concealed carry legal without a permit.

They are the same thing (when the RATs are in power).

“a 223 bullet traveling at 3,000 fps at close range is going to go through the body even if it was a hollowpoint. This guy is either stupid or was paid off.”

A 223 bullet is designed to fragmet in the body and has considerably less penetraton than a centrefire handgun hollowpoint.

no *eyewitness* accounts from the victims,911 calls etc... but plenty of early reports from outside witnesses about the guns and other *suspects* being seen, etc...with no follow-up or verifications...

You know, every weekday that I'm off work since the shooting at Sandy Hook, my Wife and I have been driving around our Sons' schools.
.45 pistol in it's holster.
Keeping an eye on the properties.
Listening to the police scanner app on my iPhone.
Hoping we don't hear anything...

I wake up, get on FR and ask myself, "I wonder if something ELSE is going to happen at a school today?"
We can't be everywhere at all times, though.
I wish there was more that I could do.

Does anyone have a clip of the medical examiner saying “.223”? All the clips I’ve seen he only says “long gun” and said it twice. He never mentioned a caliber or rifle. So why does everyone keep saying he said it was done with a .223 when he never said that (that I can find)?

During the Fall of Saigon and the Mayaguez Incident I saw - first hand and very clearly - the distorted reporting and distorted history perpetrated by the Media/CIA Complex. Never again will I take at face value anything the media portrays, nor anything the feral government tells me.

I think it would be pretty easy to look at all the empty bullet casings on the floor of the school and determine whether they were pistol or rifle rounds.

You would feel differently if you saw that 11 year old girl read her letter to O (on MSNBC) saying she wont feel safe until we cant have guns anymore.

It was heartbreaking, I notice all the kids they pick are white too.

How come the GOP/NRA hasnt put any kids on FNC to counter this ? That would be entertaining if nothing else.

There was a rifle found in the trunk of the car, but it looked more like a shotgun, not an AR

“I find it hard to understand why a woman would choose one of those. It doesn’t make sense.”

Remember, she had two adult sons who she took shooting with her. Is it unreasonable to think that she may have bought weapons for them to use as part of her collection?

No, it’s not impossible. The weapon quite clearly ejects a shotgun shell, and no rifles fire shotgun shells. Case closed.
