An injured person is taken from the North Carolina State Fairgrounds after being wounded in a gun accident on Saturday.

The most casualties came at the Dixie Gun and Knife Show in Raleigh, where attendees bolted -- with at least one woman wiping out in the frenetic scene -- when gunfire rang out around 1 p.m., as seen on video captured by CNN affiliate WRAL.

unfortunatly, not true. About 7-8 years ago a young boy was killed at a gunshow in the Atlanta area. A guy selling holsters was demonstrating how easy his snub-nose revolver could be pulled out of a holster, and the kid was shot in the head by the idiot.

Plus the other poster is correct about the UZI being used killing a yound kid and a machine gun shoot in Mass.

Do be careful. Does anyone else remember the stories during Clintons ban attempts of liberals showing up trying to put live rounds in arms at shows?

&***Never heard of a gun going off accidentally at a gun show, much less two gun shows. I smell a rat. ***

I have. Many years ago someone looked at a pistol, slipped a cartridge into it and left it on the table. Some other fool later picked it up and pulled the trigger. I don’t remember anyone being hurt but it did cause some problems.

Anybody else think this is just too damn coincidental?

When is the last time there was an accident at a gun show let alone five in one day? Even accounting for the newbies?

Every gun show I ever went to you got a zip tie put across the receiver blocking it open.

Something smells fishy about all this crap.

I call false flag.

Number of people killed at guns shows by guns over the past 20 years.

ZERO.

Tell ya what, though.

I’ve been to gun shows where I heard a round or three pop off. My heart rate at that time proved Einstein wrong and exceeded the speed of light!

;-)

Five injured at gun shows.

Thousands of babies slaughtered by abortionists.

Which does CNN take notice of?

TV cameras in a gun show? How convenient.

El Gato wrote:

I think a lot of gun shows have that rule; it was that way back in Calif 20 years ago at the big Pomona gun show.

Stupid happenings like this only becomes foder for the media. There is absolutely NO REASON ON EARTH that a loaded weapon should be allowed in the door at ANY gun shows, PERIOD!.

If the would be sellers are dumb enough to attempt to bring a loaded gun INSIDE, they do not get inside.

IMO, a special “bunker type” area needs to be made available outside so ALL, ALL weapons are inspected for safety purposes OUTSIDE. ANYONE attempting to circumvent the process would be banned indefinitely and heavily fined.

You’re right, and folks shouldn’t be too alarmed yet. We will survive this scumbag president, I’ll wager our rights will still be intact, although in some areas like NY, they will be restricted.(fat lady hasn’t sung there yet, either. There will be court challenges) I have a feeling the millions of Americans who woke up to what is going on and bought guns, ammo, will help vote out these idiots. At the least, the HUGE increase in gun ownership sends a message that cannot be ignored. If this huge increase in positive attitude towards our second amendment does no good, then it is time to replace the tyrannical goverment by any means possible.

It was a fundraiser at a gun club with an instructor present. Dad paid to let the kid shoot. Kid couldn’t resist the recoil and he shot himself in the head. Idiot instructor. Idiot dad. Dead kid.

When i lived in Corpus Christi some anti gun clown went through the show putting ammo into guns and one got touched off.

At a gun show in Houston some idiot bought a .380, loaded it and fired it into a table just to see if it worked.

At a gun show in Spring, TX one of the dealers wanted to test a gun to see if it worked so he and the seller went to the back room, loaded the gun and fired it into a trash can.

So yes Virginia, there really are idiots at gun shows.

When I hand a weapon to someone else, if there is any way to lock the breech open, I do that and in the case of a revolver I will pass it with the cylinder open and exposed.

I do the exact same thing. It is impossible to be too careful.

Thanks, I agree. The NY laws probably will be struck down. Didn’t they just outlaw all semi-auto guns of any type? That must be about 80% of all guns owned in NY state. I don’t think that will fly.

Well, duh. Didn't have the time right then, thanks. I remembered news reports stating it happened at a gun show, and the poster stated they believed no deaths had occurred at gun shows....so I answered.

Just an FYI:
"Fund Raiser" at a "Gun Club" = "Gun Show" to a liberal progressive, to them they are going to be the same thing.

I'm sure he knew that all guns are always loaded.

That did not help however.

NRA Gun Safety Rules will keep you safer :

Always keep the gun pointed in a safe direction

Always keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot

Always keep the gun unloaded until ready to use

Thank you for the info.

However, statistically, it is SO LOW as to be negligible (unless you were the young boy, of course).

Actually, wasn’t there a young boy who shot himself in the head when his idiot father let him handle a full auto Uzi at a gun show?

I could look it up, but let's assume you are correct. Especially since you aren't the only one to bring up that point.

Now, one or two people (or say one or two a YEAR) were injured or killed during guns shows, where there were THOUSANDS of guns.

Compare that to Sandy Hook Elementary School where there were NO GUNS ALLOWED.

I know that my be like comparing apples and oranges, but the point is that it is not the gun, it is the PERSON.

IF we destroyed EVERY GUN on the face of the planet, PEOPLE would just use something else to kill other people. The reason PEOPLE don't go hunting a RHINO with spears anymore is that the GUN is a 'range' weapon. Getting close to a RHINO doesn't work out well for the PERSON. Same thing with SELF DEFENSE.

IF there were as FEW deaths from guns AT SCHOOLS as there were at GUNSHOWS....
