New York's Governor, Andrew Cuomo, and his predecessor Eliot Spitzer (aka Emperor's Club VIP Client 9), are well known for their dishonesty and lack of integrity. As shown by their own state government's Web site, both fomented malicious, groundless, and frivolous lawsuits whose sole purpose was to harass law-abiding gun manufacturers. The failure of Cuomo's latest anti-gun legislation to exempt police officers proves him incompetent, and amendment of the law to exempt police officers reinforces his dishonesty even further.
Malicious Lawsuits Against the Gun Industry
Client 9, along with then-HUD Secretary Andrew Cuomo, are on record as orchestrating frivolous and malicious lawsuits whose sole purpose was to harass firearm manufacturers into bankruptcy. This is from Client 9's own Web site (emphasis is mine):

If Andrew Cuomo's outright dishonesty is not enough, former Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell, who also supported frivolous lawsuits against the gun industry, added still more outrage. These words should mobilize all supporters of the Bill of Rights, and alienate his own side in the bargain:
"...the good thing about Newtown is, it was so horrific that I think it galvanized Americans to a point where the intensity on our side is going to match the intensity on their side."
The only "good thing" about the Sandy Hook shooting was the perpetrator's decision to finally rid the human species of himself. The fact that Mr. Rendell finds this brutal crime politically convenient, along with Rahm Emanuel's "Never let a good crisis go to waste," tells us everything we need to know about the other side's ethics, character, and indeed basic humanity.
Someone on Cavuto from NY said that no manufacturer makes 7 round magazines so the NYS law outlaws pretty much all guns made.
I lived in NYS under his Dad (Cuomo ) as gov and he is an arrogant pr... too.
I suppose New York will be a test case when they start trying to confiscate these guns.
How many people will leave New York for new homes in better places and how many will fight for their Constitutional rights?
Andy's abortion siloloquy? That sounds an awful lot like Andy's using Daddy Mario's Political Playbook.
Andy's daddy lit a firecracker under Andy's a**----so Andy's gotta go for it b/c Daddy screwed up his own prez bid.
Mario had it nearly sewed up but then-Gov Mario announced that he could not enter the 1998 New Hampshire primary because of his "obligation" to manage his state's budget crisis---alas, that was the swan song of Mario's long-running flirtation with the presidency going back to 1988.
He would have been the front-runner; expectations were high that he would run. Mario had even gone so far as to rush out of the Dem convention as a ploy to enhance his candidacy. But his timing was off; Mario deflated like a used condom.
Then Catholic Mario made that radically pro-abort speech at Catholic Notre Dame.
Ut, oh.
Is Andy's PR person booking him for a speech at Fordham?
============================================
JUST PILLOW TALK I hear Sandra's nickname for Andy is "Squirt."
And no......that does not refer to Andy's being an offspring of Mario.
But it was, in fact, the reason for Andy's divorce from his first wife....the Kennedy girl.
ROTFL.
Have those New Yorkers, residents of one of the highest taxed states in the union, voting for Andrew Cuomo to be their next governor allowed their ideology to trump sound reasoning? As many Americans across this great land continue to struggle with the loss of their homes, savings and retirement resources, those that were complicit in not regulating the government sponsored enterprises (GSEs) in the second market namely Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac causing the subprime loans to detonate are jockeying for power.
Sadly, we are giving those same culprits the honor of office through our votes. Note: the use of the term 'we' and 'our' is a reference to the electorate and not suggestive of the voting record of the author.
In 1993 President Bill Clinton appointed Andrew Cuomo to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as Assistant Secretary. In 1997 Cuomo took over as HUD chief replacing Clinton appointee Henry Cisneros. During Cisneros tenure he championed Clinton's goal of social engineering within the housing market forcing lenders to issue loans to those that would not financially qualify for the lending.
Cisneros left office in a scandal involving lying to the FBI over payouts to a mistress, Cisneros subsequently pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor and though never sent to prison received a pardon from Bill Clinton in 2001.
Andrew Cuomo took the HUD reins and not only furthered Cisneros and Clinton's policies but greatly expanded them.
Henry Cisneros moved the GSEs toward a requirement that 42 percent of their mortgages serve low and moderate income families. Andrew Cuomo raised that number to 50 percent and dramatically hiked GSE mandates to buy mortgages for the "very-low-income."
These bad loans were purchased and sold throughout the secondary market and the pyramid grew and the bottom collapsed resulting in the subprime crisis we are still reeling from today.
In 2008, the Village Voice published a compelling report detailing Andrew Cuomo's policy decisions "that gave birth to the country's current crisis."
The report touched on how Cuomo's 187-page rules "opened the door to abuse." The rules explicitly rejected the idea of imposing any new reporting requirements on the GSEs. In other words, HUD wanted Fannie and Freddie to buy risky loans, but the department didn't want to hear just how risky they were.
Many New York voters have been distracted by the gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino's racist joke email forwards, what some are failing to see is the actual harm to the minority community directly caused by Cuomo's policies...and that is no laughing matter.
Cuomo's top aide said, "We believe that there are a lot of loans to black Americans that could be safely purchased by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac if these companies were more flexible." Andrew Cuomo doubled down and had this to say about his HUD standards, "GSE presence in the subprime market could be of significant benefit to lower-income families, minorities, and families living in underserved areas."
How's that working out for the minority community, where foreclosures and unemployment rates have hit the hardest as a result of such failed policies and blatant social engineering?

Ruger makes them for their LC-9, 9mm pistol. I have 6 of them.
Many will leave, but unfortunately they will bring their voting patterns with them......
After Saturday’s rallies in Niagara and Albany a formidable movement has emerged where gunowners are publicly declaring that the will NOT register their nsemi autos and 8+ rounf mags. Several state officials have acknowledged that the law to force registration is unenforceable minus voluntary compliance. My guess is that Cuomo and his minions, if they can tear themselves away from passing the one minute before emergence abortion law, will go after the organizers of the movement as a conspiracy to violate the law. Also, NYS has a constitutional provision that duplicates the 2nd Amendment and the gun/liberty rights people will use that to counter the law. My only fear about that is were I the govt I would uses the well regulated militia clause to justify registration. As the govt which calls on the militia needs to know their arms, training, and capabilities. I am surprised this approach has not been taken.
Texas Gov. Perry has invited gun owning New Yorkers to move to Texas.
We still believe in the Second Amendment.

just as the *only ones* are literally the only ones that can purchase post 86’ select fire weapons, the exemption will be carved out for leo to be further separated from his employers...
note my longstanding tag once more...
There is no argument to exempt a police officer that does not also apply to every individual.
If I was a NY assemblyman, I would work awful hard to keep the Police under the same guidelines as the rest of the citizenry.
There are few better ways to get a Liberal to look like an idiot than to listen to one list why a Police officer needs 12-16 rounds, but I do not.
I was in San Antonio for a while at Ft. Sam Houston for Medic training. Liked it a lot.
I may have to think of that move myself , as I live in Maryland, which hasn’t reached the ridiculousness of New York yet, but my boy O’Malley is trying hard.
