WASHINGTON Ben Nelson has found gainful employment.
The former Nebraska senator, a Democrat, is taking over as CEO of the National Association of Insurance Executives and joining the public affairs firm Agenda as a senior adviser.
The insurance association said Nelson will act as the group's primary advocate and chief spokesperson, including outreach to the federal government and international organizations.

CEO of the National Association of Insurance Executives
Typical
As expected, like his buddies Kerrey and Hagel.
The bright point is they are not here in Nebraska.
They never cared about their constituents anyway and Hagel outright said that he was sent to the Senate to represent his own views, not the views of individual Nebraskans.
Bye bye dirtbags.
FUBO & FAD
I don’t think too many people in Nebraska would be interested in hiring him and he is making big bucks using his Washington contacts. Nelson is a perfect example of a career politician who looses all touch with the values from his home state when they becomes part of the liberal cabal that runs Washington. Sen. Tom Daschle was the same...he showed up in South Dakota only to campaign and for a few photo ops and spent the rest of his time in Washington where the people of South Dakota who he represented where regarded with utter contempt and disdain.
Very early in Obama’s first term, within a week or two I think, they brought Tom Daschle up on the Hill to testify about something or other.
What struck me in the video of that was the way that Daschle was dressed. Designer frames, Italian shoes, Armani suit and Rolex. The very picture of a man who had done really, really well for himself.
In retrospect they did this to deliver a message to the Democrat Caucus. “You can have a very good life after leaving Congress. Have no fear of casting the tough votes that Obama will ask you for. If you suffer the wrath of the voters and lose your seat, we’ve gotcha covered!”
Does he know anything about insurance?
He’s a lobbyist
Evil greedy if you are a former GOP Senator like Santorum advocating for conservative interests
Noble if you are the cornhusker kickback king whose new client industry is basking in the sewer of obamacare
How did Stupak make out on that deal?
Stupak is now a lobbyist for a DC law firm stinking with inside-the-beltway types.

Another payoff. He's not qualified to shovel sh*t, of course that puts him on par with almost all of his former colleagues in congress.
What a fancy, highfalutin way to say LOBBYIST.
