Weren’t the Argies rattling sabers recently over the Falkland Islands again?
The future of the US Navy if Obama and his Marxists have their way.
What?
Didn’t the Admiral Belgrano “lead” the Argentine Navy against the Falklanders?
Every country should be able to patrol it’s waters, but Argentina has no fears of invasion that I know of.
It’s sad though that the country has fallen to such a state.Certainly I wouldn’t think the people in the falklands would want to join Argentina if they don’t have a ship that can get to the islands.
Belgrano led them to the bottom.
Probably revisionist history, since the Belgrano was sunk. For propaganda purposes, they can’t have the leader of the campaign be a sunken ship that the public can’t see.
Wait a minute...
Yep. I'm sure this loss is a coincidence...
Would you believe 3 Tidy Bowl men in dinghies?
It led it to the bottom of the sea. RIP all of its sailors who were killed; not their fault, just an insane ruling junta to mess with PM Thatcher.
Merely an accidental trifle really.
“The future of the US Navy if Obama and his Marxists have their way.”
Drat, you beat me to it!
That’s exactly what I was thinking of for a reply, as I read the original article above...
Obama is taking us down this same exact road....http://directorblue.blogspot.com/2009/11/dont-cry-for-me-america.html
The Spanish word for pump and bomb is the same. Maybe, no they wouldn’t, would they?
Beyond that, its the future of the entire USA in the not-too-distant future. Argentina is a perfect example of where Obama will take the USA in the next couple of years. Argentina is not Zimbabwe, but it is what happens when a country with much potential is run with socialist fantasy and ideology, and the crony-capitalists connected to them.
Its once proud Navy?? HUH. Seems to me the once proud Navy consisted of cast off US surface ships, unless the times is counting the Graf Spee as it sailed by on its way to Montevideo in WW2.
Sighted Ship

Ironically, she was a British-designed Type 42 destroyer that was built in Argentina. Technically she was a sister-ship to HMS Sheffield.
She hasn’t been in commission since the late 1980s - the Brits weren’t too keen to maintain a supply of spare parts after the Falklands unpleasantness/misunderstanding.
