Ga. Sen. Chambliss won’t seek re-election in 2014

When Georgia Sen. Saxby Chambliss announced Friday that he wouldn’t seek a third term in 2014, a race that already was likely to feature a contested Republican primary exploded into a free-for-all.

Several Republicans, including several congressmen, are eyeing the seat. The more crowded the field, the more likely the GOP race will pit mainstream conservatives against the hardliners who had grown disenchanted with Chambliss for working with Democrats to find common ground on budget and tax issues.

Democrats, meanwhile, hope for exactly that kind of Republican fracas. They view the 69-year-old Chambliss’ decision as an opportunity to reverse the GOP’s total domination in a state that once elected moderate Democratic governors such as Jimmy Carter.

“Regardless of what happens, it’s going to be a 10-person race,” said 11-term U.S. Rep. Jack Kingston of Augusta, who is now considering a bid. “I think you’ll probably have a self-funder in there, and you can have a mad scramble.” …

Gotta love the Newspeak in there . . . liberal RINO = mainstream conservative, and conservative = “hardliner”.

In his two remaining years, Chambliss may vote more leftist than he has thus far.

If Hillary became a "Republican," the lame stream media would immediately anoint her as a "mainstream conservative."

The good news is that Saxby will be gone and the better news would be him being replaced by an actual conservative. As Georgians ponder whom to replace Saxby with, they should come up with an alternative to Isakson as well. Illinoisans should find a candidate worth nominating against Dickie Durbin and another to primary Nancyboy Kirk. Tennessee PLEASE find "hardliner" replacements for LAMAR!!! Alexander and Bob Corker, Alaska for both Lisa Murkowski and Mark Begich, Montana for John Tester and Max Baucus, Louisiana for Mary Landrieu, Florida for William Nelson, South Carolina for Lindsay Graham, Virginia for Mark Warner Tim Kaine, Mississippi for Thad Cochrane, Kentucky for Mitch McConnell, New Hampshire for Jean Shaheen, New Jersey for Molester Menendez and Frank Lautenberg, Utah for Orrin Hatch, Colorado for Michael Bennet and Mark Udall, Arizona for John McCain, Texas for John Cornyn and so many, many more whether Demonrat leftists or GOP-E stooges.

Talk about GOP-E! Anyone here grow up knowing anyone whose first name was Saxby??? Toward the end of the posted article, Isakson laments that his friend of 50 years is leaving the Senate. Next time Isakson is up, send him home to keep Saby company.

The local liberal fox 5 news in atl. were gushing over shamless being mainstream and how the “EXTREME” right had targeted him for removal in 14.This guy has been a POS since he was elected and I knew he wouldnt run again. Issacson will be next to claim retirement. He is no better. We need Allen West to move back home and run for this seat.

Well, we also once elected Conservative Democrats such as Larry McDonald, Sam Nunn, and Zig-zag Zell Miller.

This seat is PERFECT for West. He’d kick the crap out of all opposition easily, especially the RINOS. Someone should contact him. The libtard head explosions upon West’s election would be heard around the world.
