Obama: Change Coming to NFL to Reduce 'Violence'
Breitbart ^ | 27 Jan 2013, 6:29 AM PDT | by Tony Lee

President Barack Obama said if he had a son, he would have to think "long and hard" before he let him play football and suggested he--along with other football fans--watches football against his conscience. "I'm a big football fan, but I have to tell you if I had a son, I'd have to think long and hard before I let him play football," Obama said.

In an interview with the left-of-center New Republic, Obama said football will "probably change gradually to try to reduce some of the violence" and that may allow fans to not have to "examine our consciences quite as much" while watching the game.

"And I think that those of us who love the sport are going to have to wrestle with the fact that it will probably change gradually to try to reduce some of the violence," Obama said. "In some cases, that may make it a little bit less exciting, but it will be a whole lot better for the players, and those of us who are fans maybe won't have to examine our consciences quite as much."

President Barack Obama . . . suggested he -- along with other football fans -- watches football against his conscience.

He's obviously not principled, if he acts against his conscience every week. No will power either.

Why isn’t Obama bringing affirmative action to pro sports? Don’t we need more short guys in the NBA, more disabled baseball players and so on?

This is the guy who sent semi-autos to Mexican drug lords to kill civilians.

Let’s discuss your criminal violence, Obama.

Then if there is time left over we’ll discuss the NFL.

If Obama had a son, he would be a ballerina.

"...and that may allow fans to not have to "examine our consciences quite as much" while watching the game."

I've never examined my conscience even one time while watching the game.

I want to ban Basketball. Seriously.

Not just because the President adores it - but because of it’s violence and hate.

Who’s with me?

I think the NBA needs to have 60% Caucasion players.

If Obama had a son, he’d probably be a florist or a choreographer.

idiot.

at the same time anyone playing football should not be surprised they are going to get injuries that will affect them later in life.

My God the men who played high school football know this. They walk around with bum shoulders and knees for the rest of their lives, THEY know their bodies are going to be damaged for the rest of their lives, so a guy who plays into his thirties at a higher level for decades can’t guess they’re going to even have more problems?

Not accepting any whining from anyone. Not from anti-American culture hating in the closet gay muslims who watch against their conscience, not from “supposed fans”, not from players.

Either play or don’t play. Either watch or don’t watch. Simple.

You mean Baraq isn’t going to send a Million Moms for Gun Control into the Chicago inner city next summer to gather up all the illegal guns?

You’re using common sense.

That doesn’t play too well in the courtroom.

It’s the plaitiffs bar that is going to change the NFL, not Baraq:
