Labor Unions Finally Read Obamacare Fine Print, Realize Costs Set To Spike, "Turn Sour" On Obama

It is a well-known fact that nobody in Congress ever reads, or even skims, any law, and especially not the fine print, it passes until long after it has been enacted into law. It appears the same is just as true for the biggest pillar of support for the Obama administration: America's labor unions, whose liberal vote every election is instrumental to preserving the outflow side of America's welfare state. As it turns out, it was the same labor unions who enthusiastically supported the primary accomplishment of the Obama administration in the past 4 years, Obamacare, only to realize, long after it has become reality that, surprise, their healthcare plan costs are about to go up. And, as the WSJ colorfully summarizes, they are now "turning sour."

I think this is instructive for conservatives.

Our enemies HATE us, and want to defeat us at any cost. In this case, it was the overhaul of the our entire healthcare system.

This pattern happens time and time again - liberals get what they want and then have regrets. Why. Read the first sentence - they NEVER bothered looking at what they were getting - they only cared about whether they defeated us.

Schadenfreude comes to mind, concerning the dismay the union types must be feeling. And it would actually apply, except we are also being hit with the same crazy stick.

Will this be enough to get the “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2011” (surely one of the most misnamed pieces of legislation EVER) either repealed or vastly modified? Not likely, as the state-centered mindset cannot ever admit of error on their own part.

Charlie Sheen said it best. “Winning!”

Awwwwww. Sorry, I’m fresh out of crying towels. ‘Healthcare? oh yeah, we need that. That is a great idea.’ “OBAMA...OBAMA...OBAMA..”

Stupid sheep. YOU voted for it. Now CHOKE on it.

Well, cry me a river, build me a bridge (at prevailing union wages of course), and JUMP OFF OF IT! Ya FUBARS!

For millions of Americans, the take away will no doubt be: “This Obamacare thing would probably be completely free if the Republican hadn’t messed it up! I hate those guys!”

Yup, this is a golden opportunity for the Republicans to dig in and demand the thing get repealed in it’s entirety.

Nothing less than that. There’s just too much leverage with this to make the Dems pay a very high political price in order to fix the problem that they and they alone are responsible for.

Here is my prediction: The dems will want to fix all that is being found out...and will then blame the GOP when they balk.

If I were in charge, I would tell the dems: You passed this without GOP support...you can FIX it without GOP support. And then I wouldn't vote for ANYTHING until substantial destruction was achieved (you know the dems won't go for that)...and even then...I would make part of the deal being the dems would have to confess they screwed up...which won't happen.

I have yet to meet a liberal that could be that easily disuaded from his ideology. The union “solution” is simply more government subsidies to fix the problem.

Solzhenitsyn wrote about people being sent to the gulags thinking, ‘If only Stalin (or the authorities, or the politburo,or...whatever power that be) was aware that I am not realy guilty, then I’ll be set free from this prison,’ only to remain incarcerated.

When more people experience the consequences of this stupid law, the liberals will continue to deny that the law is the problem. When they experience high costs, long wait times, difficulty in getting appointments, and poor service, they will clamor for more government funding and regulation. When they are denied treatment because it wasn’t approved by the death panel, their families will simply be told by the hospital staff, “sorry, but we did everything we could...”

When you hear the phrase, “sorry, but there is nothing else that can be done,” you will never know if the limitations are based on what the doctors and the facilities are capable of performing, or whether the limitations are based on some kind of quality of life formula created by the death panel.

It will take a lot more to get liberals to realize just how evil their dreams really are.

Although I think this is funny - the unions getting screwed by the very people they supported - in the end, we all get it!

Kinda like the Chicago Teachers Union supporting Little Mischlinge Rahm Emanuel and getting kicked in the face during their protest last year...

Who couldn’t see this coming from a mile away? I’m sure they get a waiver or exemption.

Or, I am from the government and here to fix this.

Consider, for example, the case of public education in the USA. Jack and Jill cannot read. Jack and Jill cannot add nor subtract. Jack and Jill cannot write nor reason.

This is fine, no matter that generations now of the above youngsters are adults, because the government says ... "and here to help."

Oh, just spend more money. A minor point, I know - as Ben will print as much as you need, and then some more.
