Hagel Hearing: Scarborough So Contemptuous Of Ted Cruz, Won't Mention Him By Name
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Sure, Chuck Hagel might have been a bumbling, stumbling mess at his confirmation hearing yesterday. But the real story was how awful were the Republicans who questioned him. That was the collective judgment of today's Morning Joe panel.

For example, so contemptuous was Joe Scarborough of Senator Ted Cruz of Texas, that the Morning Joe host announced that he would not even mention him by name. "Clown show" was the panel's operative phrase for the Republican performance. Andrea Mitchell, Mika Brzezinski, Mike Barnicle et al. joined in the Republican roasting.

Interesting. It was always very odd to me how he resigned. I believe he was single when he was first elected. I always thought he was one of the good conservatives but as MSNBC host he is just a jerk. Maybe he is like so many others, opportunistic and arrogant. The intern thing is curious. But he is NOT a conservative.

Ted would make an excellent choice for 2016.

Ted was born in Canada, and is not Constitutionally permitted to run for President.

He's great, but he's already in the highest office he is ever going to win....unless he become President of the Republic of Texas some day. :)

I like Ted Cruz outright, but if I were naive to him and I only knew that Scarborough disliked him, that would be enough to sell me on him.

Cruz is already making an impact less than 30 days in. Let’s hope he, Paul, Lee and Rubio keep sticking their thumbs in the eye of the Establishment.

Republican kabuki theater, you bet it is. But.. we are outnumbered in every flank. If we can stop the POS from being Sec of D. we’ll take it. Ted Cruz is taking as much heat today as the hapless fool Hagel, such are the times we are living in. Just look at the apology fest the SF football player had to go on just for saying he doesn’t want to take showers with fudge-packers. Off topic to be sure, but illustrates the insane times we are in.

Thanks for posting it for me—I’m so technically challenged-—LOL!

I really think Senator Cruz is a treasure. Too bad he can’t ever be president, or so I’ve heard, since he was not born in the USA. (although that doesn’t seem to have stopped one person I could mention.........)

You could start referring to “the male host of MSNBC’s unwatchable morning show”
