Former Vice President Al Gore spoke with Charlie Rose on January 29th on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. After praising the integrity, independence and journalistic standards of foreign oil-backed anti-American Al Jazeera, the former Vice President took a swipe at Fox News Channel.

Fox News and talk radio are the only bastions of free press left in this country and I am concerned that Obama, Gore and other liberals are specifically targeting them. I fully expect the FCC to unveil a new “fairness doctrine” aimed at killing talk radio. While the FCC cannot as of yet target cable news, Fox will be targeted for a smear and innuendo campaign to discredit it and take away viewers. Internet blogs like this site will be the next target for censorship. I already have a shortwave radio because I expect in the near future the only uncensored news and commentary I will be able to get will be broadcast from overseas beyond the Obama curtain. Perhaps some freedom loving country like Canada will start a service Radio Free America to broadcast uncensored news into the USA just like Radio Free Europe did for communist eastern Europe during the cold war.

He’s taking too much heat from the left so he throws out “Hey I still hate Fox” and they forget that he funneled millions of their dollars into his pockets.

Still creeps me out that he came within a whisker of becoming POTUS. George Dubya wasn’t perfect but he was a gentleman both in office & since.
