Backstage Glimpses of Clinton as Dogged Diplomat, Win or Lose

WASHINGTON — Last summer, as the fighting in Syria raged and questions about the United States’ inaction grew, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton conferred privately with David H. Petraeus, the director of the C.I.A. The two officials were joining forces on a plan to arm the Syrian resistance.

The idea was to vet the rebel groups and train fighters, who would be supplied with weapons. The plan had risks, but it also offered the potential reward of creating Syrian allies with whom the United States could work, both during the conflict and after President Bashar al-Assad’s eventual removal.

Mrs. Clinton and Mr. Petraeus presented the proposal to the White House, according to administration officials. But with the White House worried about the risks, and with President Obama in the midst of a re-election bid, they were rebuffed.

SoS was really the perfect job for her.

She could be a total road warrior with Huma always at her side.

And BJ was able to take care of business back home.

But .. I don’t think Obama did stay out of it .. or he was involved at least (behind the scenes), and told Hillary to go ahead. Why else would Stevens be in Benghazi (not a secure consulate but just a couple of rented buildings), just to meet with a guy from Turkey to make arrangements to send arms to Syrian rebels ..??

Then, there was this rumor .. it’s only a rumor .. but it seems more plausible when you realize that the so-called “consulate” .. was nothing of the kind. It was a CIA station - with a safe house. This status would mean that this location was NOT AMERICAN SOIL.

Part of the rumor was that after Russia (who supported Aasad with weapons) found “American made weapons” in Syria (and I remember reading about that) .. from that info, Russia knew Obama was just blowing smoke about not getting involved in Syria, and Russia was determined to put a stop to it. They supposedly paid some A-Q group in Benghazi (the same group who hit the gas plant in Algeria) to put a stop to the transfer of weapons. There was little risk, and besides - it was not American soil so Russia didn’t expect any repercussions from the attack.

Again, this was just a rumor .. but I can see how possible it was to be true.

This is truly a SCANDAL and I sure hope it will FOREVER SINK any plans by Hillary to run for anything.

We must never forget that Hillary was a part of the counsel for the House Judiciary Committee when Nixon was under impeachment. She participated in a variety of self-serving, unethical practices in violation of House rules. The man who was her supervisor, Jerry Zeifman (a Democrat), concluded that Hillary is ethically unfit to be President.

Mr. Zeifman wrote a book about his experience with Hillary titled “Hillary’s Pursuit of Power”. It’s a small book and I would encourage everyone to read it. Get yourself informed about the real Hillary just in case she tries to run for President.

Wait — did the NYT just say that Clinton was dogged as a diplomat? Do they imagine it’s a good thing to get dogged?
