Thanks Kaslin. I don’t think Hagel should be confirmed, but if it happens, it will be because of a bluff — someone who’s competent and evil will be suggested in place of the evil but incompetent Hagel.
I think Hagel is just a stand-in, for twelve months maybe. He has no executive experience, and will be overcome by various financial issues. When he figures out that he’s there to convince the generals to just accept a huge budget cut....he will wake up and announce his retirement.
