“California, officials are allowed to confiscate guns from convicted felons and those with a history of mental illness.”

That would disarm the majority of the California state legislature.

Who will determine mental illness?
Will liberals be able to claim conservatives are “mentally ill”?

Maybe we should pass a law that says somebody has to enforce the law

How many mass shootings has CA had with all the mental illness walking around? I bet there is a ton of shooting related to gang bangers releases from prison. But let's not worry about that. I'm serious. They are just killing other gang bangers.

CA needs to change to allow law abiding citizens to protect themselves from the gang bangers if they move into their hoods.

51-50’s DB1s who said “I want to kill myself”, The system is infested with these people. They are harmless and after the hospital cleans them up they are normal.

“They are just killing other gang bangers.”

Sadly I can say that is not always the case.

Cal. AG Kamala Harris said that although she has the information of who and where the felons are, she doesn’t have the manpower to enforce the law—so she will just ignore it.

However, Kamala is big on gun control for law abiding citizens. (spit)

‘Cuz they can’t aim. I have about zero sympathy for those neighborhoods. They are liberals and Obama’s people. They expect that we (taxpayers) take care of their problems. I didn’t cause their problems and they are too impotent or lack the principles to take care of their own. I am too busy fighting liberals in my own area to give a damn.

And how would these CA “officials” know this? If they do and these “facts” are true, it sounds to me they are aiding and abetting felonies. Time to round these “officials” up, try them, and send them to Folsom, San Quentin, or other posh concrete, razor wire, and steel bar resort for 15 to 20 years.

Some pertinent info from the California AG's website:

12010. (a) The Attorney General shall establish and maintain an online database to be known as the Prohibited Armed Persons File. The purpose of the file is to cross-reference persons who have ownership or possession of a firearm on or after January 1, 1991, as indicated by a record in the Consolidated Firearm Information System, and who, subsequent to the date of that ownership or possession of a firearm, fall within a class of persons who are prohibited from owning or possessing a firearm.
(b) The information contained in the Prohibited Armed Persons File shall only be available to those entities specified in, and pursuant to, subdivision (b) or (c) of Section 11105, through the California Law Enforcement Telecommunications System, for the purpose of determining if persons are armed and prohibited from possessing firearms.

12011. The Prohibited Armed Persons File database shall function as follows: (a) Upon entry into the Automated Criminal History System of a disposition for a conviction of any felony, a conviction for any firearms-prohibiting charge specified in Section 12021, a conviction for an offense described in Section 12021.1, a firearms prohibition pursuant to Section 8100 or 8103 of the Welfare and Institutions Code, or any firearms possession prohibition identified by the federal National Instant Check System, the Department of Justice shall determine if the subject has an entry in the Consolidated Firearms Information System indicating possession or ownership of a firearm on or after January 1, 1991, or an assault weapon registration, or a .50 BMG rifle registration.
(b) Upon an entry into any department automated information system that is used for the identification of persons who are prohibited from acquiring, owning, or possessing firearms, the department shall determine if the subject has an entry in the Consolidated Firearms Information System indicating ownership or possession of a firearm on or after January 1, 1991, or an assault weapon registration, or a .50 BMG rifle registration.

(1) The subject's name.
(2) The subject's date of birth.
(3) The subject's physical description.
(4) Any other identifying information regarding the subject that is deemed necessary by the Attorney General.
(5) The basis of the firearms possession prohibition.
(6) A description of all firearms owned or possessed by the subject, as reflected by the Consolidated Firearms Information System.

12012. The Attorney General shall provide investigative assistance to local law enforcement agencies to better ensure the investigation of individuals who are armed and prohibited from possessing a firearm.

Hmm. What's the 1/1/91 date mentioned in connection with the "Consolidated Firearms Information System"? The date it went online?

How do they know that these people have guns if it's illegal under federal law to keep a registration database?

Could it be that the Feds are keeping just such a database as mentioned in "king barry's" call of executive actions to disarm America?
