Fair deal and done....just arrest your dorkface/cretin/felon major and put him away where he can never be found.

We’ll gladly look the other way.

This reminds me of the geniuses in the Chelsea MA police union who put a flyer that looked like a parking ticket on windshields all over town.

It said they deserved a raise because Chelsea had such a high crime rate.

You want a pay raise?

Earn a pay raise.

Say reduce the murder rate to one a day?

I would want a pay raise too if I had to work in the Murder Capital of the United States.

They should just stage a walk-out, What Difference Does It Make!

Wanting more and getting more are two different things. I would grant pay rasies, based on there being a budget surplus. The police could expidite their pay increase by investigating and prosicuting improper use of public funds.

I haven’t dared ask for a raise in 4 years.

I’d be fired.

The cops should be too.

Fire them all. Start from scratch. The Chicago police dept is a big part of the reason that Chicago is more lawless than Helmand province.

Whattaya wanna bet their pensions are pretty cushy as well?

Paying for these union pensions will bankrupt these cities, and it’s already starting to happen.

Give them at 50% raise - retroactive to 1/1/12.

Turn Chicago into another Detroit - only faster.

And they shouldn't have to be bothered with 911 calls, either.

Wait. They already did that.

The police in Chicago are not responsible for the crime rate there - the people are. They elect leftist scum, and leftists manage the system there like they do everywhere else.

We have to go back to the original founding concept that not everyone gets to vote or we will continue to swirl down the drain.

If the police have no control over the crime rate, why have a police force in the first place?

We have to go back to the original founding concept that not everyone gets to vote or we will continue to swirl down the drain.

Rome required that one earn the right to vote.

Heinlein suggested requiring Federal Service to vote.

I'd settle for requiring that one be a net tax payer to qualify to vote.

I would imagine that the homicide rate of police officers in Chicago is probably somewhat less than that of the overall population of the city, seeing as how they are about the only people who are 'legally' armed.

Of course, the dirty secret that can't be talked about regarding chicago and all these other high-murder hell-holes, is that the murders are talking place within a very small segment of the population.
