A truck found abandoned and burning near a Southern California ski area belonged to a fugitive former Los Angeles police officer suspected in three murders, authorities confirmed Thursday afternoon, as thousands of officers searched for the suspect across three states and into Mexico.
The suspect has been identified as Christopher Jordan Dorner, 33, and he is considered extremely dangerous and armed with multiple weapons, authorities say. He is accused of killing a college basketball coach and her fiance last weekend, then following through on a vow to kill police by opening fire Wednesday night on three officers, killing one.
The killings appear to be retaliation for his 2008 termination from the Los Angeles Police Department for making false statements, authorities say. Dorner posted an online manifesto that warned, "I will bring unconventional and asymmetrical warfare to those in LAPD uniform whether on or off duty."

la times running story that cops opened up on a truck with two women delivering newspapers this morning. truck was totally bullet-ridden. luckily one only got hit in the hand, but one got shot in the back.
la cops as a general rule, are not very good. and apparently not very good shots either.
Yep. When I first heard the gist of this story this a.m., the phrase that came to my mind was, “hail of bullets.”

Sounds to me like they Railroaded the Wrong Guy, Now all the cops in Ca. feel like ORDINARY CITIZENS, under Attack. No Love lost here folks, as far as I can tell after listening to the official story and reading it, The POLICE brought this on themselves.

Burning his truck is a sure fire way to pinpoint his location and time. Now they know he was there within a few minutes. unless he had another car there, he probably stole another one.
If you read his ‘manifesto’ you would have recognized the ramblings of a man who blames everyone and everything for his own short comings. He is seriously delusional. It has NOTHING to do with being railroaded. This guy had a chip on his shoulder from word one and has no completely lost it. People who did nothing to him are being killed. I could care less about his “manifesto” and did not read it, however, He filed a complaint against his “Training Officer” for KICKING a Man in the HEAD while Handcuffed, the Victim “CONFIRMED” the Brutality, so did the Victims Father and other Witnesses, the Star Chamber in the LAPD WILLFULLY DISREGARDED THEIR TESTIMONY, and found the Probationary Officer to be LYING. So you might wish to actually get the facts straight. This does not mean they deserved to be Killed, just that THEY BROUGHT THIS ON THEMSELVES.
You need to read the manifesto before taking this jerk at his word.

You should care about his manifesto. He details he perceived victimization by racists and Christians since elementary school. This guy has had a huge chip on his shoulder for years. He is as nuts as they come. You assume information not upheld at all in any hearing. I do not trust this guys word for anything. He has made accusations all of his life.
You might like to get the facts straight rather than relying on the word of a murderous nut job
So now the blue truck was found burned at Big Bear. Doesn’t surprise me he is trying to stay away from populated cities. So his only choice is to take the back roads. Now it has been stated that there are tracks leading away from the truck but then they have diminished. This tell me one thing and that is another car will be stolen tonight or early morning OR he has someone helping him. He will need food and the way he looks he can’t go without food for hours. lol Also he may be coming up to the Bay Area like shall I say Oakland, CA. Kinda of going around California invading major highways and take back country roads instead. Now there is also the possibility he may take route 18 then take route 247 to Barstow. Like I said he will riding them back roads. I have no doubt that someone could be helping him, he may have family here in California. Who knows how this will end, I just pray that no one in our Law Enforcement gets kills nor any innocent civilians like his first 2.
Yeah, I’m thinking he could have had another vehicle. He could have parked his truck there a while ago, and used a timed pyrotechnic device to set the fire to throw the cops off on goose chases.
He certainly has had time to plan his diversions and evasions.
I read his manifesto and I agree with eyeamok.
If even a fraction of what this guy says is correct the LAPD is totally corrupt.
He can acquire another vehicle, just as long as it does not look like mine. I really do not want to get shot driving to work by our vigilant police department.
I am relying on what has been WIDELY reported in the NEWS all day, Radio News that is, I doubt it was on the news on TV, and since I don’t watch TV and by your response I am Positive these FACTS were left out of every TV broadcast. But the INFO is available, you just need to wipe off all that shoe polish from your chin to see it.
