Day of Resistance February 23 Nation-wide Rallys, Pro-2nd Amendment, Constitution

February 23 is a National Day of Resistance with rallies being organized in 75+ (and counting) cities. As you all know, for decades, politicians on both sides of the aisle have been chipping away at the Constitution and, especially, the Second Amendment. It is time to "push back" (yet again!) and remind Washington that the American people do not want further gun controls! Please visit the website, find a rally near you (or sign up to help organize or even organize a rally in your town or city, if none is listed.)

"What country can preserve its liberties if its rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance?" -- Thomas Jefferson

Yeah, it’s too hard to rally. Much easier to fight a civil war for 4 years... I would suggest attending early and often every rally that gets momentum. Being armed would be a plus.

The "Gun Appreciation Day" had little forewarning, few rallies, light turnout and little publicity. This February 23 event, with lots of notice and time to organize (there is an incredible amount of red tape to overcome to put a rally together), will hopefully make a major pro-gun statement. At least 100 cities are working on organizing. I don't know who sponsored the Feb. 8 event, I knew nothing about it, actually.

As for "burning out the base", with recent executive orders, and draconian legislation currently working its way through the system, time is critical. We must strongly remind lawmakers that we do care and are paying attention to what they are doing. When fighting a wildfire, you cannot take time off lest you "burn out" the volunteer firefighters.

What city? I must admit I don't watch national media news anymore, local coverage of Oklahoma City seemed to show a few hundred on the capitol steps... I stand corrected, if there was good turnout for Gun Appreciation Day!

Huh? Here in CT we had the largest pro-2A turnout ever, between ~1500 outside the Hartford Capitol. A nice prep for the Newtown-exploitation hearings the following week, which lasted over 12 hours and was ~100:1 pro-2A attendence.

Thank you DTogo. And thanks to all who showed up in CT.

You know the LSM trumpets the leftwing rallies and marches and either ignores or minimizes ours. Maybe the key is to remedy that is that every time the left has a rally or march, we need to counter it with a bigger one at the same time and place. The 100:1 2A attendance is exactly what we need more of.

That makes it very hard for the leftwing to promote the meme of “massive public support” for whatever their pet project is at the time when conservatives (i.e. normal people) turn out 100:1 against them.

What we need is a day of resistance on Apr 15th.

Simply don’t send the bastards any more of our money. Cut em off I say.

Good idea, TaxedEnoughAlready=Tea Party. We need to push back on all of this. April 15 is a perfect day for protest.

In the meantime, it is important patriots/gun owners push back against unconstitutional gun restrictions. Please visit www.dayofresistance to find a rally near you, stand up and be counted!
