I caught a snatch of something on the car radio a couple of nights ago .... somebody was talking about just that subject and savaging Texas. Someone -- I think it was Chrissy Tingles -- was saying that Texas "prosperity" is largely fake because most of the jobs being counted are low-wage.

As if cost of living had nothing to do with wages. As if Texas or Mississippi or North Dakota wages should stack up dollar-for-dollar with jobs in Lower Manhattan's financial district.

Or something. But you know Chrissy's gotta run his mouth, if the subject is By-God Texas!! ESAD, Christine -- we live in Texas, and you just exist up there in Wormwood.
