Hagel’s got a time machine?

(He was born in 1946.)

What a disaster for our country. An ignorant yes-man who will do the Won’s bidding to disarm us in the face of increasing threats.

What was the vote? The rats have enough seats on the committee to pass on his nomination without any Republican support.

Fourth time posting this today, only 2 GOPers right now are voting for Hagel; Johanns and Cochran. Fischer who was undecided, will vote no.

He could nominate a horse and it’d be confirmed

So Graham and Inhofe talked tough, got their 5 minutes, and then went with the rest of the eunuchs

No, they voted against.

Dems had enough votes to pass it out of committee themselves. No GOP votes.

There was never any way to block it in committee.

There’s still at least a chance that it may be blocked in the Senate, although that would be some kind of miracle, as the Republican establishment gets worse and worse every day.

“No, they voted against.”

Thank you for the correction.

I went off without the whole story... guess I’m feeling a bit like a beaten dog these days.

Graham is measured and making the most sense of all.

Here comes the Benghazi statements, and he won’t get any cooperation from the demonic-rats regarding Benghazi.

Easy to feel beaten down these days.

But I do believe the Repubs may end up defeating this nomination. Here's to hoping anyway.

Inhofe and Graham have stated that they will block confirmation of Hagel. There are many others. A fillibuster is a real possibility.

The Republicans do not have enough votes to sustain a filibuster even if they tried it. There are always some Republicans, even some conservatives, who believe the President should get his nominees unless they are convicted felons or something. Hagel is a national joke and an enemy of Israel, but he will be confirmed. Sorry, but it is what it is.

I hope Sen. Ted Cruz can throw up as much procedural flak as he can against these traitorous oxygen thieves, even if their votes are all line up to protect Hagel.
