Wildlife officials play surprise role in tracking down Dorner

While law enforcement officials scoured the hillsides above Big Bear on Tuesday for murder suspect Christopher Dorner, wardens from California's Department of Fish and Wildlife were called in to patrol the rugged terrain of Highway 38.

It was on that highway that the officers first encountered Dorner, engaging the former cop in a white-knuckle chase involving two commandeered vehicles. The pursuit culminated in what officials described as a wild shootout between Dorner and a state game warden.

The actions by alert wildlife officers may have set in motion Dorner's last stand — in a snowbound cabin, surrounded by police. The cabin burned to the ground and there were conflicting reports over whether a body had been found inside.

He must’ve been trained by the Marksmanship Training Unit of the LAPD. I think we see a trend here.

From these reports, Obama doesn’t have to outlaw guns or ammo.

He just needs to mandate all weapon owners are trained by the LAPD in target practice and all the ammo in the world will be expended with only 2 rounds hitting their intended targets with non lethal casualties.

And while the five wardens were "certainly rattled," said Lt. Patrick Foy, Fish and Wildlife spokesman, they were all highly trained and had just received the rifles.

He was driven to earth by fish cops. Good old boys with AR’s.

They just got them. Doesn't sound like "good ol boys" but rather DHS trained and supplied with recent purchases.

For a guy who ought to be smart and have plans....it just seemed like everything he dreamed up...got screwed up in the end. He’d been better off to just rent some RV trailer under an assumed name, and park it on the beach at Malibu.

Hi!

Trying to do a bit of catch up here, since I pretty much took a break from the news last night, the night before the start of Lent.

Did Donner get caught? Thank-you for your response.

Wed. Feb.13 2013, between 1pm and 5pm, I was listening to San Bernadino sheriffs dept. on my android phone’s scanner app as San Bernardino sheriffs battled with accused killer Christopher Dorner, I was riveted. This animal had viciously murdered two innocent kids and by then two officers and two more wounded. Make no mistake, corrupt LAPD or not, he was evil. After a couple hours of shooting and positioning themselves, I heard them say, BEFORE the fire started, they were going to intentionally set the cabin on fire. The officers in the armored vehicle moved in and tore both the front door and front wall down (Wall number one.). They said they could see blood spatter from the bullet the sniper had just shot him with and that Dorner had piled matresses in the corner. (There must be a video camera on the robotic arm.) Then it got scary. They said they were proceeding with “fire” as “per plan”. Next there was a confirmation the fire had been set. Then they confirmed fire was successfully showing. externally on corner of walls 2 and 3. Stunned, I listened to a surreal play by play as the cabin slowly was consumed by fire and Dorners ammo cooked off. They let it burn through the floor as the cabin had a basement.

None of this was reported. It was evident they had intentionally killed him. A single shot was heard from inside as the fire took hold, indicating he may have suicided before burning. As it began burning heavily, officers were instructed to be alert and to watch their backdrop when they fired as the cabin was surrounded and officers were on all sides opposite. It was no accident. They had no intention of capturing him although they could have simply gassed him or even waited him out. That is murder. Badges do not justify murder as far as I know. Even under the NDAA.

I swear to God. On the life of my own daughter and all I hold precious. May God strike me dead if I’m lying. THIS STORY IS ALL TRUE!

We are all GUARANTEED our rights under the Constitution that are neither subject to cancellation by each other, public opinion, politicians or police order. Dorner, the innocents he murdered, you, me, all Americans have rights that must be defended and protected especially by law enforcement and all who swear an oath to do the same.

This man served America with honor in Iraq. Most likely twisted by things he had to see and do there. He deserved his day in court as much as the innocents he killed deserved to have him convicted. A wise man, a famous man senselesly shot dead once said “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”

The police denied his rights because they were motivated by pure hate. This precedent is unacceptable and if tolerated will reinforce it’s acceptability. Because of the trust and authority WE give them, police must be held to a higher standard than citizens not a lower one.

You can hear it all. The files are online andvarchived offshore.
You can download the scanner app below. Connect to the system channel below and listen to the archived files for that channel yourself. This story in less detail is starting to show up online. There were around 29,000 people listening as well.

You are right. The police were Judge, Jury, and Executioner when they had him surrounded.
They had no reason to kill him at that point. Personally I would have liked to see
him dragged into court in leg chains and hand irons. Then executed lawfully in 12-15 years.

Yes I believe you. Got that same conclusion from other reports. The LAPD was out to kill this guy. That much was obvious from the “blue pickup” incident.

Yes, they improperly skirted the law. Yet, at the same time: there was no doubt who this guy was, what he did, what he was guilty of, and - most important the the final incident - no doubt he intended to kill at least one more person in any attempt to capture him. In other words: “he needed killin’.”

Yet Haasan still breathes...

But then no. 34 says others are reporting the same. Well, of course there might be a concerted effort to gin up a “police burned him alive” myth.

Or it might be true.

Dunno. But it reads like it was made-to-order for the libs defending the poh widdle persecuted-because-he’s-black victim of police brutality Dorner.

“They had a new and shiny AR 15 with 308 caliber they fired at the fleeing white pickup according to the interview on Channel 5.”

Not too be picky but I question a little bit Channel 5’s description of the rifle. I’m not an expert on this but I have not seen an AR-15 of 308 caliber. Now, I have seen chopped versions of the M-14 with pistol grips, folding stock, rails, etc, in 308 caliber. in fact, Seals are very fond of this weapon. Just chatting, not looking to be flamed :)

Okay, so we have one vengeful homicidal maniac executed by law enforcement. And let’s not kid ourselves, this was an execution. Yeah, maybe he “needed killin’” but once they had him surrounded, burning him alive was not any more acceptable than it was with all those people in Waco. We’re supposed to have courts and juries and all that, but with so many willing to strap on kneepads for anything wearing a badge, we need not bother with it.

Whatever position you had during this man hunt, some things have become very clear. Anyone who still thinks that cops are your friends, are there to protect you and would never use these tactics on gun owners when confiscations are ordered are going to be in for a rude awakening, just like the people the cops tried to murder just because they were driving pick up trucks.

What about his constitutional right to due process as an american citizen? Do we just forget about old ideas like that and give police the right to be judge, jury and executioner when they feel like it? Just "burn that motherf#@%ker" is just dandy now?

I don't want a police force like that, but that's what we have.
