I’d have to agree with McCain on this one. The daughter I’ve seen and heard would be hard to worry much about.

Nah, I think you are overly optimistic as to what anyone would pay to get her back.
This one surprises me. Notwithstanding our disagreement with McCain on many issues, I am not going to easily dismiss his opinion on this issue. He was in combat. He was captured and tortured. He, more than any of us, knows the risks of being in combat. He has male children in the military and knows what could happen to them. I can’t believe that any of these advocates would stick to their position the first time their daughter — or any woman — ends up getting captured and then gang raped by these savages, or tortured.

You certain about that, John? Ever had a child deployed in a combat zone? Ever turn on the prime-time news and see a video of a firefight, only to have your child come back from that engagement in a box a couple days later? Thought not.
There is nothing comfortable about war, except perhaps in the minds of people who help create them. And pride is something best left in a box until they get home, one way or another.

He was in a POW camp ,but I am sure he got special treatment because his father was an Admiral, He does have some idea how the others there were treated. Does he suppose his daughter would have come out of that camp withher virginity? -—Not that that seems to bother his daughter. Does he really say he is comfortable with her being shot at? The man is a fool or a liar ot a lying fool, there is no other answer.

I would think anyone who has pounded enemy ground would not accept women for that mission.

LOL there Old Sarge. Years ago when I was an E6 Motor SGT, we had an E5 that probably had the same IQ as Megan. My maintenance section was helping turn in equipment at the N Ft Hood MATES. It was dark thirty before we got back to the cantonment area.
The company party was going on at the end of AT. The CO and 1SG did the Criss Dodd and Ted Kennedy impression of a waitress sandwich with her in front of most of the unit. Last AT for the CO and 1SG, but she got promoted.
