Expert Who Said New Benghazi Info Will Leave You ‘Amazed and Shocked’ Gives More Details
The Blaze ^ | Feb. 13, 2013 | Erica Ritz

Posted on 02/14/2013 5:04:18 AM PST by Mozilla

Brigitte Gabriel, one of the world’s leading experts on Islamic extremism, said over the weekend that there will be new information to come out on the Benghazi attack that will leave people “amazed and shocked” when they finally hear it.

“As someone working with the intelligence community…more information is going to come out regarding the Benghazi attack that will really leave people amazed and shocked how we have been — on how we are defending the country,” Gabriel said on Fox News.

The story exploded on TheBlaze, with 550 comments and over 12,000 “shares” on social media outlets as of this article’s publication. And keep in mind that that’s only a fraction of the people who read the story.

We decided to reach out to Gabriel to see if she’d be willing to elaborate on her comments, and you’ll want to know what she had to say.

During the interview, Gabriel discussed everything from the yet-to-be-released information that will leave people “amazed and shocked,” to reports that U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens was involved in a “gun-running” operation before he was killed.

Gabriel couldn’t divulge the source of her information or any specifics, but she gave us enough to add significant new pieces to the puzzle the American people are trying to assemble in determining what happened to the 4 brave Americans who were killed overseas.

“There are multiple issues that will come out, I wish I could tell you, but it goes back to the Bin Laden attack,” she said. [Emphasis added].

When asked if she could give readers a general idea of who her sources are, Gabriel replied: “I have connections with some of the highest generals in our military who told me [the information], face to face, by mouth. They looked at me and said, here’s what going on, here’s the thing…”

Weighing in on reports that Ambassador Stevens was involved in a gun-running operation to provide arms to Syrian rebels at the behest of the U.S. government, Gabriel was equally clear.

“There was an operation; they were smuggling weapons to Syria, and he died because he was involved and because something went wrong,” she stated.

But according to Gabriel, more information on the gun-running program is only one aspect of the explosive information that will be released.

So why, roughly five months later, don’t we know this information already? When will it be released? And by whom?

Gabriel was decidedly optimistic and pessimistic at the same time.

In her opinion, it’s possible the information won’t ever come out unless we have a short term special committee to investigate the attack, where those involved are forced to answer legitimate questions under oath by lawmakers who actually want to bring light to the matter.

It can’t be a “slobber fest” like Hillary Clinton’s testimony, Gabriel noted.

The best way to go about this, she said, is to put pressure on lawmakers by supporting legislation introduced by Congressman Frank Wolf (R-VA) to create the committee, which you can do through her organization ACT! for America.

“We know that unless those responsible, like Panetta and the others, are called into an official hearing under oath, the truth is not going to come out,” she said. “Before the hearing [last Thursday], no one knew that the president that wasn’t in touch with anybody.”

Many of those involved, she said, will speak the truth if subpoenaed and put before Congress, but they’re not going to volunteer any information. They have careers, promotions, and reputations to consider.

“People are afraid to talk, including some of the top generals we have!” she lamented. “They’re trying to cover their behind. And that’s not right by our country.”

She continued:

“It is such a shame that in our country today, we have an administration that is not forthright and truthful, is more concerned with public appearances and elections than protecting America. It is shameful the way this administration has handled national security and foreign policy, to the point where we have become the laughingstock of our enemy…to have an ambassador killed in such a way…”

Gabriel proceeded to note that a country is in a perilous position when you have honorable people leaving the armed forces because they cannot do their jobs the way they know they must be done, or when they stay in but are “shackled” by political correctness.

“How can we conduct a war when we cannot teach them about the enemy?” she asked, noting that references to violent jihad have been purged from some cultural training manuals.

Bottom line, she said, “unless you put [those involved] under oath and before a committee, the American public is not going to get the truth.”

I agree. Most Americans (and pseudo-Americans) won’t give a hoot about Benghazi. It is “old news” which has been “addressed” by HRC and Obama. The MSM will not cover it. IMO, Benghazi will go nowhere.

If this information is THAT important she should spill the beans, otherwise this smacks of teasing and attention-grabbing.

Why can't she put the information out there?

Like you, the "Bin Laden" comment caught my eye...

“...those involved are forced to answer legitimate questions under oath by lawmakers who actually want to bring light to the matter...”

Who has any belief that people who routinely break the law without compunction would care one way or another about lying under oath?

The responsible parties are themselves unscrupulous, unprincipled white-collar criminals and career liars. They have succeeded in life BECAUSE they place no personal or professional stricture on the sanctity of an ‘oath’.

This applies to all politicians. I am now convinced that political parties consistently recruit and groom the most dishonest and amoral characters they can find. THESE are the people who lead America.

Nothing else will explain how we got where we are.

The only thing that would “Amaze and Shock” me about Benghazi is if we ever hear the truth.

Any committee formed by this shameful Congress we have now would be a joke. An expensive joke.

Like Issa’s F&F investigation turned into a joke.

If I remember correctly, freepers were convinced it was a gun-running operation 5 minutes after the death of the ambassador was reported—

Catch 22: “unless you put [those involved] under oath and before a committee, the American public is not going to get the truth,” and you won’t get a committe formed unless there is credible evidence to do so.

I will wait, but if it were really mind blowing and had any chance of really ruining Hillary's and Obama’s plans for Amerika, Brigitte Gabriel would never be allowed to disclose it, particularly after teasing the info this way.

Reminds me of the “White House insider” that never produced anything and the African National Press that kept saying they had proof on Obama’s birth origins...

When someone says they have info that will come out but they string it along I default to their BSing.

That's my impression too. I stopped reading at "decidedly optimistic and pessimistic." A very flirtatious piece of work, promising the world and delivering no goods.

Well Brigitte should not have made a comment on Fox News Saturday and not backed it up. All this article did was try to pry more information out of her, but she danced around the issues.

What is of note is that despite, her coming on Hannity last month, she is rarely on his Fox News show these days and he is not pursuing this anymore. A bit hypocritical I would think. Brigitte went on with Uma Pemmeraju on a Saturday mid-morning show to say she had more amazing and shocking information.

One thing I will say...

550 comments and 12,000 likes?

As far as my experience goes, most of these places that (eventually) allow you to leave a comment require you to:

Leave at least two valid email addresses
Donate your every drop of blood to some disease
Swim a river infested with alligators
And then, only after they have verified you accomplished the above, stick needles in your eyes.

It’s utter BS. It’s a waste, I simply don’t have enough time left on this Earth to play their asinine games.
If someone wants to comment, let them comment. If they are a jerk, the truth will out.

I’m at the point I don’t even try anymore.

but obviously Brigitte Gabriel is too scared to say all the full information she has at this time.

And she sites anonymous generals who must be too scared themselves.

This is just like the previous stories on the "household name" general/hero who claims top brass is being weeded out to leave only those who are willing to fire on American citizens. Of course we don't hear from him because he probably fears for his life.

There was another time when a bunch of citizens were probably and justifiably terrified at divulging the information they had. When the information they possessed meant probable death or torture.

But they signed and distributed the Declaration of Independence anyway. They were patriots and heroes. We appear to have very little of that in our upper echelons today.

The plan was to “kidnap” (wink, wink) the ambassador and “hold him” until Obama offered to trade him for the blind sheik.

Why is it ok for our government leaders to break the law to subjugate us, but not ok for us ‘civilians’ to exercise our rights - supposedly protected by the supreme law of the land - without being subject to arrest as anarchists or even terrorists?

Remember what anyone connected with that mission has been saying. NONE of them were expected to live through it. None of them expected THEMSELVES to live through it. They had faulty equipment and a helo that crashed into pieces.
Long story short, it was supposed to be a suicide mission. Now why is tthat?
Why not a drone strike? WHY purposely sacrifice SEAL Team 6?
