Taxpayers will be sending President Obama on his second vacation of the year when he departs Friday aboard Air Force One for a Presidents’ Day Weekend excursion to West Palm Beach, Florida.
Without apparent irony, Obama has decided to jet to a well-trod stomping ground of the rich just days after presenting himself to the nation in his State of the Union speech as the guardian of the middle class.
Obama presumably will head directly to some fabulous golf course, having not been able to play in recent weeks because of the cold weather in Washington.
While Obama may pay some hotel and other miscellaneous costs related to his vacation travel, taxpayers are on the hook for much of the expense, shelling out for the president’s travel aboard Air Force One, a cargo plane that carries supplies, and the cost of the president’s substantial staff and security retinue.
While unemployment stands at nearly eight percent, Obama is taking his second vacation of 2013. The year is only six weeks old.
Obama initially traveled to Hawaii in late December. He returned after a several days to work on a fiscal cliff deal, and then went back for several more days in early January after signing a bill. So this will also be the third time in less than two months that taxpayers have footed the bill for a round-trip Obama vacation.
It’s not clear if Michelle is going with him – the White House announcement of Obama’s plans doesn’t mention her. She usually goes skiing in the Rockies around this point in the year.
Doesn’t Rush live around there somewhere?
Is he going from Friday to Monday? That doesn’t seem like much of a vacation to me. We are going to see family over the weekend but I don’t consider it a vacation. Monday is off anyway so it really isn’t necessarily a vacation. If Obama was taking extra days off from work, then it would be considered vacation.
Maybe Zero and Mr. Snerdley can play a round of 18.
Make it a foursome, 0banana, Rush, Snerdly and LtC West.
President’s Day: Is that the day when if Obama steps outside the White House and sees his shadow we get four more years of stupidity?
He will probably stop in for a cigar with Rush. HAHA
In the present economy, a 4 day weekend with a Monday holiday is a typical middle class vacation.

They're attempting to buy class with other peoples money. It doesn't work that way.
The more they rob and plunder, the more pathetic and worthless they appear.
Rush had it right yesterday when he described the President as always campaigning, never governing and thereby eluding the blame for all the problems he has caused. Read it. Its worth the time.

I have a limited amount of vacation time available to me.
I am taking a day tomorrow. Kow what I’m doing? Getting tires for my wifes car... fixing the engine light on my truck so I can get it inspected... get it inspected... clean brush piles at the back of my property...
I want to go to West Palm Beach. I want to go to Martha’s Vinyard. I want to go to Hawaii.
On the flip side I get to see my Obama-suporting neighbor wake up around noon and walk outside in his pajamas to check the mail for his welfare check.
Oh yeah. I remember that. They were referred to as "White trailer trash" because they couldn't control themselves around other peoples money either.
They're still considered royalty among the welfare crowd even today.

They never go HOME to Chicago...only to the most luxurious, jet-setting places. Those filthy ghetto drifters won the lottery. They’re determined to use it for all it’s worth. And if rich whiteys end up paying most of the bill, so much the better.
More likely he’ll be in Palm Beach on the island as opposed to W. Palm. The Breakers, perhaps.

West Palm is where hoi polloi reside. West Palm Beach is the barrier island right on the Atlantic ocean where Rush Limbaugh and other über wealthy live. I have been around both places
