ST. PETERSBURG — A man walking his dog was shot in the leg by a disgruntled motorist after the animal lurched into the road, forcing a pickup to stop.

St. Petersburg police are searching for a man who shot Peter Harbachuk, 46, on Friday after his dog got off her leash.

"Some dude hopped out and he pointed a gun toward my head," Harbachuk said. "I said, 'Hey, this doesn't have to go down like this.' "

The man lowered the gun a bit, closed his eyes and squeezed the trigger, he said.

My daughter’s first dog was a Doxie/Beagle mix with short, black hair and brown eyebrows. She said it was imposssible to pick up his shedding — the hairs just worked their way down into the uphostery where they clung to the fiber of whatever the covering on the chair was. She now has standard poodles. Although they are a maintenance problem (cost) she much prefers them.

I just decorate my house and buy my wardrobe to match my dog (Goldens). It’s easier that way! LOL.

Except, I don’t have a dog right now. We had to ‘put down’ our most recent friend Feb. 8. I’m still hurting, but until I recover from orthopaedic surgery, I can’t adopt another. OMG! We really miss our Max.

Somebody clipped their Golden

Dare I say that maybe he deserved to be shot? No, I'd never say that. I might think it, but I'd never say that. LOL.

This is a joke, thread police!

My dog/my clothes.

Nobody's ever the wiser.

I'm sorry about your dog.

I just lost my dad on the 15th.

This has been a cruel month.

Slapped upside the head, at the very least.

Wonder if anybody’s ever shaved a Dobermann?
[and lived to tell?]..;]

Nah...I was trying to teach him the seal lion act so we could run away and join the circus but he just can't get the flipper-clapping thing right.

Thanks.

It’s not “real” to me yet, if ya know what I mean.

I tried to teach my Max to dance. I’m sure that he could have mastered the moves, but I’m too clumsy in my old age. I was just a little leery of allowing him to pass under my leg (fear of tripping), and he was too. Maybe after I get my knee replaced (April) and I get a smaller dog, we could learn those moves.

they didn’t report race of the couple in the truck.

i am educated guessing black. most white women don’t start screaming at people and start climbing out of the truck to confront them. most white guys don’t then hop out after their woman is ‘told’ toget back in the car, and think the solution is to get out and shoot a person execution style.

If he had shot the dog I bet it would have magically turned into a 200 pound pit bull.

That is true (clipping the Golden). I thought of that AFTER I posted. I think it is an abomination to clip a Golden. I suppose people are just trying to avoid shedding, but I doubt that clipping helps that problem either — just makes the shed hair shorter.

I live in FL and I used to shave my Golden twice a year during the hot months. I know he was happier for it. Now I have Papillons and they get shaved twice a year during the hot weather.

I could care less if folks think they look goofy with short hair. I know they are more comfortable with it like that when it's 85 degrees and 85% humidity.

I think they’re white trash like the victim.

Trash is the type here. Lots of blacks are trash, but there are whites just like it. I know, we have them around here and unfortunately I am very close to 1 who wouldn’t hesitate to act that way.

Also, the eye-closing tips me off. A white guy who thought he’d never do it.

Anyone notice the wife is far older than this victim?
