The letter below challenges Governor Cuomo to repeat, in his capacity as an attorney and under color of legal advice, his implication that the Second Amendment applies only to sporting uses of firearms. Remington is advised to leave New York, and take its skilled workers and high-wage manufacturing jobs with it. It will be published by the American Thinker, and sent to Remington and the United Mine Workers, upon delivery to Mr. Cuomo via certified mail.
Dear Governor Cuomo,
...Your January State of the Union included the following words: "No one hunts with an assault rifle. No one needs 10 bullets to kill a deer." I agree with this; if a hunter cannot kill his meal humanely with one bullet, he shouldn't take the shot.
The Second Amendment does not, however, apply to hunting, and you know this because you went to law school. Your implication that the Second Amendment applies only to sporting applications of firearms is therefore a knowing, willful, and deliberate lie by omission. The same goes for your fellow "gun control" advocate, Barack Obama, and his photo-op with a shotgun and some clay pigeons.

Mrs. Cuomo’s little Andy could use a little tutoring on the history of the United States and the Bill or Rights. We have hunting and fishing regulations and licenses for hunting. We have the Second Amendment to provide Americans with the ability to defend themselves against an oppressive government. It’s not rocket science.
I read an article regarding 30+ companies refusing to sell to state and fed gov't who want to impose restrictions on citizens. In the comment section there was a question as to where the largest gun manufacturers are with all of this? (Remington, Smith and Wesson, Colt etc...)
I'm interested as to why they are not speaking up, leaving it to smaller manufacturers to stand their ground on behalf of the entire industry.

BS. He’s either lying, ignorant or both. I choose both. I hear lots of talking heads saying the same thing. Although hunting has nothing to do with the second amendment, many people do hunt with Ar-15 pattern rifles.

I’m sure it is more complex than this but my assumption is that most of the big boys are publicly held while the little guys are private. Once a company becomes public, all decisions basically boil down to the effect on the 6 month stock horizon.
BTW. Google “Helicopter Hog Hunt” for some action. Not really hunting, hogs are varmints and destroy millions in crops.

When debating these issues, the leftists want you to discuss the lie rather than the liar. Cuomo knows that his mediot sycophants will continue to try and effect conventional wisdom and they would love the debate to shift towards “do you hunt with an AR.”
What really needs to be addressed is the liar. I ask people why is Coumo lying to you? Why does he need you disarmed? What does he plan on doing to you that he thinks will cause you to bring arms against him?
Properly understood the 2nd amendment is not about firearms at all, it is about resistance. If marshmallows were the only weapon available to the people in 1787 then marshmallows might have been mentioned. Until WE STOP arguing crime stats the debate will go on forever. Hunting, crime, plinking, etc., have NOTHING to do with the RIGHT to be armed, or the 2nd amendment.
If only we could harvest those little “bacon sprout” babies before they could do much harm. Hog Heaven! Same goes for aspiring young politicians.
I agree with your post (and your tag). Tree of Liberty...all that. It’s distressing to realize, particularly when listening to rat bastards like Cuomo, how few among our present government and the modern American political class give a fig for the founding principals. It’s equally distressing to realize how we the people allowed the collectivist snake to coil around us for so many years, and only now realize that we’re in a death struggle.

I wrote the essay and helped to produce the video. It’s an effort to lift the debate from Newtown “small ball” to the big leagues of democide, where these efforts at “reasonable and commonsense” gun control laws always lead to death by the million in the end.
I believe an argument can be made that if gun manufacturers remain in NY, then they are tacitly approving of these tyrannical gun laws & supporting them with their tax dollars. Therefore, gun & ammo buyers need to boycott these complicit manufacturers.
Frankly, it is time that right thinking Americans boycott EVERYTHING from states like NY, CA, IL.
