What If Republican Todd Akin Advocated Rape Whistles?

Gun Control: The silent media ignore a Colorado Democrat who says women don't need firearms to defend themselves from predators and a patronizing vice president who says women can't handle an AR-15 anyway.

On Monday, the Colorado House passed four gun control bills. Among them is HB13-1226. It would ban concealed weapons on college campuses, as if creating more gun-free zones, such as the one around the Aurora, Colo., theater, where 12 were killed and another 59 wounded, will prevent more massacres.

Colorado is a concealed-carry state, as was Virginia at the time of the Virginia Tech shootings. But like the Aurora theater, Virginia Tech had declared itself a gun-free zone. It's a lesson the Colorado House apparently didn't learn.

John Fund, writing in National Review, notes that the Aurora shooter had a choice, within a 20-minute drive from his home, of seven movie theaters that were showing the Batman movie with which he was obsessed.

The Cinemark Theater he chose wasn't the closest, but was the only one that banned customers from carrying their guns inside, allowed under Colorado law.

Supporting HB13-1226 was Colorado Democrat Rep. Joe Salazar. While arguing for the disarmament of college students, Salazar said that even if women feel like they're going to be raped, that's no justification for carrying a Glock in your purse or book bag.

"It's why we have call boxes; it's why we have safe zones; it's why we have the whistles," Salazar opined.

"Because you just don't know who you're gonna be shooting at. And you don't know if you feel like you're gonna be raped, or if you feel like someone's been following you around or if you feel like you're in trouble when you may actually not be, that you pop out that gun and you pop ...

The short answer is that he would have lost even worse than he did.

Any GOP candidate for public office must assume that anyone in the press is an operative for or an employee of the Democrat party until proven otherwise.

The title is a silly question. The same MSM mediawhores that think Marco Rubio sipping water during a speech is a career ender think Mendez drilling 16 year old girls is a non story.

Since I am this very minute listening to Claire McCaskill defending Chuck Hagel on FNS, I am wishing that Todd had been a little smarter with the media and been able to beat her!

There’s a complete double standard. If a leftist does something reprehensible, nothing comes of it. If a normal person SAYS a word that they left can hang him on, it’s all over the news until he grovels in submission.

To: I want the USA back

Stupid statement by leftists are excused for a reason. The left has successfully indoctrinated the public, through academia and the press, that they are the only view that “cares”.

This caring is then used as the justification for other views being ignored.

Sowell explained this very well in The Vision of the Annointed.

I guess the question is “What effect would rape whistles have on potential rapists?”

The answer for moron democrats is that potential rapists will be more likely to bring along their own ear protection.

....Does anybody remember what the Democrats did at their 2012 convention ??? First they eliminated any mention of the word GOD...and when they thought twice about doing that they reintroduced the resolution what happened ? They booed God..thrice..That resolution was rammed through just like the Affordable Health Care Act ...That’s a wedge issue within the democrat party.which was not exploited by Roves RINOS and GOPES and the Republicans generally to this day.

Was that fact used in any of the material Rove’s RINOS spewed forth during the 2012 Romney or US senate races his group of GOPES (Government Ofthe People Elite Snobs) used on their hit list ? I like using that acronym because it rhymes with dopes.

Noooo ! They could have used that episode to point out how far to the left the democrat party has hyphenated into; Demo-Coms ...Instead well we don’t like Aikin ...He said what ? OMG OMG he’s unqualified ...If there was a chance he would have been burned at the stake by Rove’s RINOS and the so called “conservative “ talkies spouting Rove’s tripe.

The Aikin or O’Donnells response to a set up phoney issue had nothing to do with any thing that would ever occur in any legislation that would pass their respective desks had they been elected.

THE RESPONSE YOU DIDN’T HEAR WAS THIS “”While at their convention the Democrats were busy denying God . Aikin believes in something like the ten commandments. Including Thou shalt not steal and doesn’t believe that getting elected to office gives you a license to steal ... Which his opponent seems to have done rather well since being in office. The same thing with Mourdock,O’Donnnell, etc, etc, etc.

That presentation could have been expanded to Reid, Pelosi, and the slew of Demo-Com pigs at the trough. Expanding their personal wealth at the expense of the US taxpayers.

There would be a window of opportunity to plant one on him, as it were.

But please keep it mind Mr. GeronL, that I have some other ideas on the treatment of violent sexual predators. Ideas that really don’t include silly things like “rights of the accused”.

The “jokes” are simply my way of dealing with my anger.

I read or heard it too many times. They might be nuts, but somehow, with rare exceptions, e.g. Gabby Giffords, they can figure out that gun free zone angle. It's demonic!

By the way — I am tired of all the liberal and RINO attacks on Akin and Mourdock for their rape comments. The candidates should have not said those things, but the biggest nitwits are women voters and RINOs who claim they rejected the entire Republican party based on a couple stray comments.

What are the chances of a rape and pregnancy - about one in 112 million? It is not something most people have to worry about. It is not a reason to turn against Republicans. The liberal media plays it up, and RINOs then say let’s give up on abortion and homosexual marriage. Lord, spare us from RINOs!

I would probably agree with those ideas.

Whistles, call boxes and “safe zones” from the same people who are soft on crime and want to give prisoners more rights is a sure sign of what they are about, I would think.
