Push to address climate change (congressional climate change caucus)
Politico ^ | 2/26/13 | DARREN GOODE

A bipartisan group of former U.S. foreign policy officials, military leaders and lawmakers pushed on Monday for action on addressing climate change in poor nations, arguing it represents a major national security threat.

**SNIP**

Reagan administration Secretary of State George Shultz signed on, as did George W. Bush Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage and former Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge.

Sixteen former members of Congress also signed on, many of whom took leading roles on foreign affairs and defense committees. Those on the letter include former Sens. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) and Dick Lugar (R-Ind.), and former Republican Reps. Sherwood Boehlert of New York, Christopher Shays of Connecticut, Michael Castle of Delaware, James Greenwood of Pennsylvania and John Porter of Illinois.

Also on the letter are former Sens. Gary Hart (D-Colo.), Sam Nunn (D-Ga.) and Tim Wirth (D-Colo.), as well as Dennis McGinn, retired deputy chief of naval operations and now president and CEO of the American Council on Renewable Energy.

They are getting desperate for more money. Problem is, there isn’t enough anymore. You can’t fund the world and half the non-working moochers with QE. Doomage!

Just wanted to cheer you up LL.

Because there apparently is no profit or income in pursuing whether or not there really is man made climate change, these lawyers are making fools of themselves by buying into the man made global warming hoax.

Perhaps they should spend a little time with the Russian scientists who are predicting global cooling. Or, perhaps, looking into the real cause of climate change, the Sun. This bunch must have a vested interest in "green" technology.

All the other ecoomic scams are failing and the only way to keep them propped up [to avoid the tar and feathering that will follow the collapse] they believe, is to come up with yet another ponzi scheme.

yes climate change is occurring (as it has since the age of earth began)

the good news for Manhattan is the mile thick ice sheet that once covered you is gone! For that you can thank cavemen SUV drivers!

the bad news is that people in poor countries are even more likely to starve as they lose cropland and clean water to a combination of climate change and environmental rape of the 3rd world by China and others

I have an idea! Let's tax American farmers that feed 1/3 of the world and businesses that produce lifesaving technologies out of production with carbon taxes!
And lets give the tax money to the UN and to China to dam up more rivers and rape more minerals and farmland in the 3rd world!

That’ll sure change things. And think how proud our liberals can finally be of America, just another impoverished global citizen nation, taxed by global billionaires into living living lean and shuddering under the onslaught of uneducated lawless greedy unchecked 3rd world migration (democrat voters, all).

Climate change is a National Security threat. Because they want to spend billions on something that will not work, bankrupting our country pissing away money we need for jobs on a crazed notion that they can change Mother Nature.

For the sake of argument let's assume that global warming is real.

If it causes death and destruction in poorer countries, how is that a security threat to us? More dead foreigners equals fewer foreigners that can attack us. Looks like a good thing to me.

Of course we all know that global warming is BS. look at the snow in Texas for crying out loud.

Can’t these people find something better to do in retirement? A cruise, maybe? If not, let’s send them on a fact-finding mission to Ethiopia & leave them there!
