Beam me up, Yoda: Obama flubs 'Star Trek' term By DARLENE SUPERVILLE
WASHINGTON (AP) He's not a dictator and won't entertain the idea of a "Jedi mind-meld" with opponents. There's no "secret formula or special sauce" he can slip foes to make them see things his way. And not to worry, he says, the situation may look dire but won't be an "apocalypse." So who was the guy in a suit and tie who showed up Friday in the White House briefing room, mixing metaphors and references to "Star Wars" and "Star Trek"? "I am not a dictator. I'm the president," Barack Obama declared as he rejected the idea of using Secret Service agents to keep lawmakers from leaving until everyone agreed on a budget. He answered reporters' questions shortly after an inconclusive, 52-minute meeting with the Democratic and Republican leaders of the House and Senate. "So ultimately, if (Senate Minority leader) Mitch McConnell or (House Speaker) John Boehner say, 'We need to go to catch a plane,' I can't have Secret Service block the doorway. Right?" Even if he did bar his office the oval one Obama said he wouldn't do a "Jedi mind-meld" with Congress' top two Republicans to persuade them "to do what's right."

ha!
excellent!
How can he mind-meld without a brain?
He is Not an American. He is not even a North American. It’s obvious.
Scottyoda: Engineering to Capt. Kirk!
Kirk: Kirk here.
Scottyoda: Captain, slow down you must! Any more she kenna take, or blow she will!
Kirk: Can’t you try to give me more power?
Scottyoda: Do or do not, Captain, there is no try.
“Even though most people believe I’m being reasonable...”
Obama never stops lying. How did he go from being an IL State Senate backbencher to President of the United States in 8 short years?
He’s a Cook County Dem. I cannot believe it.
Yah, but at least he didn’t say something really stupid, like there are 57 States.
I did find that the the scariest part of the video. Scarier than Obama's total lack of basic geek cultural references.
The reporter starts with "can't you just make them..." The ignorance of that question floors me. This is a reporter who you know would cheer if Obama announced he was assuming dictatorial power "for the good of the country" (and who knows, he may well do so).
Fascinating, this is.
Wow so that is Michelle new hairdo everyone is talking about. That helmet hair.
That statement “Beam me up” reminds me of Jim Traficant. =) I wonder what he thinks of Obama?
Thanks fanfan. He’s neither a dictator (yet) nor the POTUS.
0bama can’t sing the words to the Star Spangled Banner, can’t name the names or the number of U.S. states correctly, and doesn’t understand the first thing about our culture.
He’s not one of us.
...no wonder raging Leftists love him.
How about the constitution? I never seen a politician before so incredibly oblivious about the constitution as this guy, yet they claim he is a professor of constitutional law! Like Clint Eastwood said, he is the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people, absolutely.
From Wikipedia: StarWars
Midi-chlorian counts were measured through a blood test; the Jedi used this method to locate Force-sensitive children before their Order was purged by the Galactic Empire.
I’d say that O’zer0’s is zero.
At least he didn’t say “Corpse Man” again. This guy is lost without his teleprompter.
