...all while hoping that the sequester doesn’t dampen the fragile economic recovery that he’s worked hard to achieve.

He has?? Sorry, I can find NO proof of this.

The next step is the debt ceiling collision.

The only thing President Barack Obama can do now is wait.

This is not true.

Obama may be waiting for his handlers to deliver the next program for him to push but they are working on things even after the next election. Conspiracy never stops.

Obama knows that the fiction of “recovery” has run its course and negative numbers are coming, so bad that they can’t be massaged away. He needs a scape goat and the sequester is all he’s got. His faithful, the press, will buy it.

What pathetic analysis. The least she could do to have a smidgen of credibility would have been to say, “Obama’s staff did him no favor by feeding him the easily refuted claim that Capitol janitors would see their pay cut, a claim that was knocked down within twelve hours.”

“For the pain of the $85 billion in indiscriminate budget cuts to sink in”

Another bunch of BS. He does have some discrimination on where the cuts are. He is trying to make the cuts as painful as possible for political purposes.

LOL. That stood out like a sore thumb for me, too. When I read that, I knew this was Pravda.

The democrats are in trouble. They need money to buy votes. Unless they can come up with a new social program or free handout of some sort in time for the next election, the freeloaders won't bother to get out of bed to vote.
EVERY election, the democrats HAVE to promise more spending of other people money. If there's no money for them to buy votes, they are going to be so screwed!
What makes it even harder for them is the 8% unemployment and the 17 trillion dollar spending debt. The American people are suffering and scared because of what Washington has done to them, and I don't think they're going to be in the mood for increased tax slavery or more borrowing just so the freeloaders can have a more comfortable lifestyle at their expense.

AND......wait until the suffering and impoverished massess see moochelle Marcos making another glamor shot, their kids having another million dollar spring break vacation, and oboma flying off to some luxurious resort for a golf outing. The internet photoshops are going to go viral! (and we have to make absolutely sure that happens)

At this point EVERYTHING must be viewed though the prism of the 2014 mid-term elections. The damage this African communist rat-bastard Ubama could do to America as a lame duck with a rat congress is incalculable, and he knows it. He also knows his Democrat “mainstream” newsrooms are there to help him along in every way possible.

For the next two years, all bad news about “the economy” will be blamed on the Republicans.
Naturally, any good news will be credited to Ubama and will be “in spite of Republican opposition to his policies”.
Count on it.

Well, where are all the Freepers who said the GOP would cave on the sequester?

We've got it now. And Obama will have trouble calling "wolf" again because many of his claims about calamity are proving to be false.

It will be an interesting few weeks ahead as we head into the debt ceiling debate.

“Obama faces an uncertain few months as he attempts to balance a series of budget battles with his ambitious second-term agenda”

The first order of business must be to get a budget. We have not had in four years... the continuing resolutions have allowed Obama to fund his agenda WITHOUT OVERSIGHT. This must end! The House must assert its authority over the purse by demanding a budget from the administration and remain resolved to limit the CRs to 2 months at a time until it is done.

Obama’s biggest problem now is figuring out he can use this to cause the most damage and hurt the most people.

Alarmist Obama winged about the country---cock-a-doodle-do'ing about the sky falling if he did not get another trillion dollars for his 29 new federal giveaways.

(Obama's "turkey trot" was intended to increase Dem's midterm chances).

============================================

FOX COMMENTATOR CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER OBSERVES---"Obama's alarming move---deliberately making the most painful and socially disruptive cuts possible (putting 2000 imprisoned illegal immigrants on the streets--- hardened criminals plotting crimes against law-abiding Americans)."

" When the Nation was at the fiscal cliff, Obama cunningly split Republicans and got a slew of new taxes. (Now he wants more. The sequester is intended to break the Repubs on spending..... to make cuts look as painful as possible, and let Republicans come crawling for a “balanced” deal----more back-breaking tax-hikes on the working class). "

"In the past two years, House Republicans stopped cold Obama’s left-liberal agenda. If Obama can break them now, the road is open to resume legislating Obama's expansive, entitlement-state liberalism proclaimed in his 2012 inaugural address. But Obama cannot win if 'nothing bad really happens' with sequestration. Indeed, he’d look both foolish and cynical for having cried wolf."

=====================================

And now Obama's got ace reporter, Bob Woodward, telling the story Obama does not want Americans to know. Mmmmm, maybe the sky is falling after all..........on Obama.

ROTFLOL

I think the WH is scared, because if the sequester results is a big goose egg of public concern, the Republicans are going to be fortified for the next round, which is raising the debt ceiling. Or not.

The trouble with government cutting back is that it is now so hopelessly overextended, using far more resources than it should, that there can be one heck of a lot of cutting back before it even digs through the fat to get to the muscle.

So the bottom line is “What happens if the debt ceiling *isn’t* raised?”

Sequester and debt ceiling are great tools to craft the real
goal...2014. Republicans better not get caught up with any Pyrrhic victories.
