There probably are charges against improper disposition of a firearm allowing somebody untrained to accidently discharge it.

DREAM ACT candidates, no doubt!
Actually this case has lots of investigative potential for the police and ICE.
Where did they get a gun with a “defaced” serial number?
Why did they have a gun in the first place?
Were they eligible to possess a gun at all?
Were they illegals?
Were they suspects in serious criminal activities? Charged with “possession of stolen property”. What kind?
Were any of them convicted of misdemeanors or felonies?
Were they out on bail, parole, etc., if so?
Massachusetts, folks. Reporting ain’t too good up there in Kennedy country.
If anyone follows up on this case, please post it here at FR. You can even attach it to this article.

take the dog out to the range, rig up a paw-trigger, and see what he can do!

Don’t know. He might have been trying to shoot the dog at the house where the bullet hit!

Given that this Massachusetts, the homeowners were probably charged with illegal possession of the spent bullets.

I totally love that doggy animated gif every time I see it.
But I wonder, what software do I need to see it move offline? Has anyone else solved this problem?

It’s ok because now police dogs are magically the equivalent of a warrant, the Supreme Court said so.

Any eyewitnesses?
Think I've heard this one before - something bad happens and the dog gets the blame.
Usually it's flatulence or missing homework...

Jeeze - why not a big magnet on a string instead of a dog? You aren't entirely serious here, but let me offer a serious answer. It was not known what exactly the criminal had buried in the snow. It could be drugs, for example - and those are not magnetic. A dog is the most universal detector.

But I wonder, what software do I need to see it move offline? Well, you can right-click and save it on your computer, then open it in a browser -- that would technically be offline.
Other than that you could try image-viewers, I used to have one for DOS (called PICTVIEW) that handled GOBS of formats and could do some impressive things (i.e. pallette optimization, color reduction) [impressive because of how QUICK it was].

With all the policemen shooting dogs dead, it seems only reasonable for police dogs to at least put a scare into a few people.

That’s the third dog in as many weeks to discharge a firearm. Are we sure these incidents are accidental?
