Obama DHS Purchases 2,700 Light-Armored Tanks to Go With Their 1.6 Billion Bullet Stockpile

This is getting a little creepy. According to one estimate, since last year the Department of Homeland Security has stockpiled more than 1.6 billion bullets, mainly .40 caliber and 9mm. DHS also purchased 2,700 Mine Resistant Armor Protected Vehicles (MRAP). (30-35,0000 drones are on order--being built in Starkville, Miss.)

Modern Survival Blog reported: The Department of Homeland Security (through the U.S. Army Forces Command) recently retrofitted 2,717 of these ‘Mine Resistant Protected’ vehicles for service on the streets of the United States.

Although I’ve seen and read several online blurbs about this vehicle of late, I decided to dig slightly deeper and discover more about the vehicle itself.

The new DHS sanctioned ‘Street Sweeper’ (my own slang due to the gun ports) is built by Navistar Defense (NavistarDefense.com), a division within the Navistar organization. Under the Navistar umbrella are several other companies including International Trucks, IC Bus (they make school buses), Monaco RV (recreational vehicles), WorkHorse (they make chassis), MaxxForce (diesel engines), and Navistar Financial (the money arm of the company).

DHS even released a video on their newly purchased MRAPs. LINK AT WEB SITE ---Via Pat Dollard:

The MRAP featured in the video was in Albuquerque, New Mexico for Law Enforcement Day which was held at a local area Target Store. This MRAP is stationed in El Paso, Texas at The Homeland Security Investigations Office. MRAP is a Mine Resistant Armor Protected Vehicle.

An employee of the Mississippi plant squealed.

That sounds like gossip, not evidence.

Yet the media and pollsters make it seem like there is an impenetrable class of people who DO admire and respect her. That’s part of the demoralization process - what propaganda does: it makes a person believe that they can’t know the truth and have no idea what the people around them are really like. It isolates people, makes them believe they are alone.

I’d like to believe that Americans have common sense and can see past the media portrayals. But I have no idea what Americans are like any more.

When the videos of Jeremiah Wright came out in 2008 there were people calling in to the talk shows and saying that’s what it means to be a Black “pastor”; this is the kind of preaching that Blacks all over the country are hearing from their “pastors”, and it is “normal” thinking for Blacks. If that is true, it totally blows the picture I’ve had in my ind, which is more like what is portrayed in “To Kill a Mockingbird” or “The Help”. The strength of slaves was their ability to transcend the indignities done to them, which is what genuine Christians have always had to learn to do. I had great respect for the wisdom, patience, and commitment that I believed were characteristic of the majority of Black Baptists, Methodists, etc. But just seeing the response to Jeremiah Wright’s preaching made me realize that I really don’t know anything about it. I have no clue whether the majority of people in that segment of the population are capable of anything except following the charismatic voice of the day.

I hate saying that. It doesn’t apply to just one race, one belief system, one demographic. The same thing is true of EVERYBODY. Unless I’ve spoken directly with somebody and know that they scoff at the media portrayals (propaganda), I have no idea whether they believe in the US Constitution, the ten commandments, truth as a whole, or common sense. Those things were once givens.

As a kid I thought everybody believed like I did. But I’ve seen people who had the same schooling as I had totally give in to lawlessness in the public sphere. Very publicly and defiantly of those who have noted the lawlessness. My cousin, who was an elder at our church and who commiserated with me over the immorality of the world, shortly afterwards fathered a child by somebody else’s wife and to this day is cohabitating with her but refuses to marry. My only classmate in confirmation class is now cohabitating even while she is very involved with church stuff. The superficial trappings are the same as they ever were, but it apparently doesn’t mean anything. All the sermons we sat through about the Word of God being the foundation of our life. When and how did it become simply an antiquated fairy tale to these dear people? I feel like I don’t know them any more. If something so central could become a by-word to them, then what other foundations have crumbled in their lives? Without talking with them very directly, I have no idea what they believe or why. None of the labels mean what they used to mean.

The energy it takes to maintain the kind of closeness that breeds confidence is staggering. We are literally being swept apart by a flood of propaganda that is breaking the foundations. A foundation is made of concrete that holds together. One little person here or there cannot make a foundation. It has to be a large body standing together. We don’t have that any more. Or at least that is the appearance. To find out that the person standing next to us is solid, and to find out that there is a whole mass of solidness, we have to deal with the foundational assaults face to face. At work, at church, at school, at family gatherings... Yet none of those 4 places is considered appropriate for that kind of talk. The alternative is isolation and foundation rot. By making the assault on our foundations taboo for polite discussion, we are guaranteeing isolation - which by nature means that there is NO foundation. A foundation has to be a solid, homogenous core.

My confidence in my fellow Americans is very badly shaken. And I don’t know if it can ever be recovered.

The Ohahas have zillions hidden away. Remember when he took office, O'ha put COS Wall Stree Rham in chge of the US Treasury. Wall St knows how to make money disappear faster than a cream puff at a weight watcher weigh-in.

REFERENCE--- FOURTEEN TRILLION DOLLARS Behind The Real Size of Obama's Wall Street Bailout; A guide to the abbreviations, acronyms, and obscure programs that make up the $14 trillion federal bailout.
SOURCE motherjones.com
Mon Dec. 21, 2009 12:23 PM PST

The price tag for the Wall Street bailout is often put at $700 billion—the size of the Troubled Assets Relief Program. But TARP is just the best known program in an array of more than 30 overseen by Treasury Department and Federal Reserve that have paid out or put aside money to bail out financial firms and inject money into the markets.

To get a sense of the size of the real $14 trillion bailout, see our chart at web site. Below, a guide to the pieces of the puzzle:

Treasury Department bailout programs
(Remember that Obama's Treasury Dept was controlled by his then-COS Rahm Emanuel---a savvy, connected G/S lobbyist in the WH)

Money Market Mutual Fund: In September 2008, the Treasury announced that it would insure the holdings of publicly offered money market mutual funds. According to the Special Inspector General for the Troubled Asset Relief Program (SIGTARP), these guarantees could have potentially cost the federal government more than $3 trillion [PDF].

Public-Private Investment Fund: This joint Treasury-Federal Reserve program bought toxic assets from banks and brokerages—as much as $5 billion of assets per firm. According to SIGTARP, the government's potential exposure from the PPIF is between $500 million and $1 trillion [PDF].

TARP: As part of the Troubled Asset Relief Program, the Treasury has made loans to or investments more than 750 banks and financial institutions. $650 billion has been paid out (not including HAMP; see below). As of December 21, 2009, $117.5 billion of that has been repaid.

Government-sponsored enterprise (GSE) stock purchase: The Treasury has bought $200 million in preferred stock from Fannie Mae and another $200 million from Freddie Mac [PDF] to show that they "will remain viable entities critical to the functioning of the housing and mortgage markets."

GSE mortgage-backed securities purchase: Under the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008, the Treasury may buy mortgage-backed securities from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. According to SIGTARP, these purchases could cost as much as $314 billion ---SNIP---.

“Maybe they are for use as rescue vehicles in the inner city, where the residents randomly fire on police and fire vehicles.”

Is there an armor warfare expert on this thread?

Can a vehicle like these MRAP’s survive in an urban area without supporting infantry?

I suspect a gasoline bomb would render such a vehicle unusable in short order, but I am no expert.

In any case, with the rpesent Regime holding the White Mosque, things look bad.

Tomorrow looks worse.

$43 trillion money launder said to involve high govt officials and the financial sector BREITBART NEWS--October 27, 2012

This week, financial news organization CNBC gave some mainstream attention to the largest money laundering and racketeering lawsuit in US History, in which “Banksters” and their US racketeering partners are being accused of laundering $43 trillion dollars of ill-gotten gains......said to involve officials in the highest offices of govt and the financial sector.

Since this info was surprisingly revealed by the MSM there was a very suspicious and deadly fallout at CNBC hdq. Within hours the original page was taken down....Police have released very little info and although a wider plot has not been officially implicated, it seems very possible that the child murders of a CNBC exec are a show of force for releasing damning information about powerful people.

Here is the WSJ WRT the lawsuit: “In the District Court lawsuit, Spire Law Group, LLP — on behalf of homeowners across the Country and NY taxpayers, as well as under other taxpayer recompense laws — has expanded its mass tort action into federal court in Brooklyn seeking to halt all foreclosures nationwide pending the return of $43 trillion by the “Banksters” and their co-conspirators, seeking an audit of the Fed and audits of all the “bailout programs” by an independent receiver such as Neil Barofsky, former Inspector General of the TARP program.

Barofsky has stated that none of the TARP money and other “bailout money” advanced from the US Treasury has ever been repaid despite protestations to the contrary by the Defendants as well as similar protestations by /Pres Obama and the Obama Admin both publicly on national television, and, more privately, to the US Congress.

Because the Obama Admin has failed to pursue any of the “Banksters” criminally, and indeed is actively borrowing monies from these same “Banksters” for his 2012 campaign to finance its political aspirations, the national plaintiff-home owners has been forced to now expand its lawsuit to include racketeering, money laundering and intentional violations of the Iranian Nations Sanctions and Embargo Act by the national banks included among the “Bankster” Defendants. “

Some of the alleged conspirators are AG Holder, Asst AG Tony West BIL of Defendant Cali AG Kamala Harris, Jon Corzine (former NJ Governor), Robert Rubin (former Treasury Secy and Bankster), Timothy Geitner--Treasury Secy, Vikram Pandit (recently resigned and disgraced Citigroup Chairman of the Board), Valerie Jarrett (Senior WH Advisor), Anita Dunn (former “communications director” for the Obama Admin), Robert Bauer (Anita Dunn's spouse and Chief Legal Counsel for Obama's Re-election Campaign), as well as “Banksters” themselves, and their affiliates and conduits.

Textron built thousands of these 60MPH Armored Security Vehicles for use overseas. They are now refurbishing 400 of them for unspecified domestic duty, with more on the way.

(Wiki) "The M1117 Guardian Armored Security Vehicle, or ASV, is an internal security vehicle manufactured by Textron Marine & Land Systems for use by the U.S. Army's Military Police Corps. Its armament consists of an Mk 19 grenade launcher and M2HB Browning machine gun, mounted in a turret similar to that used on the U.S. Marine Corps' Amphibious Assault Vehicle; and a M240H Medium Machine Gun mounted outside the gunner's hatch. The vehicle has become very popular with American military police and convoy security units in Iraq. It is a more heavily protected and heavily armed alternative to the armored Humvee which was not originally designed to be a protected fighting vehicle. The M1117 is considered to be part of the MRAP family of vehicles."

First off, this is DHS. Made of the same cloth as TSA, and we know the kind of employees they hire.

Second, do you remember the seige of the Wisconsin Capitol building, when the legislature and Scott Walker were working to increase the unions’ portion of health insurance premiums? The police refused to enforce the laws. Their loyalty was NOT to the rule of law, but to the union.

Third, what the rank and file policemen believe has nothing to do with what they will end up doing. I reported election fraud and subornation of perjury by DNC Counsel Bob Bauer to the Lincoln Police Department. I overheard some bureaucrats there talking beforehand about how I must be a Tea Partier type and how stupid it is to think that a state could do anything about an election. When I spoke with the officer he said he had found Arpaio’s evidence compelling and would initiate a case file based on my affidavit but that he already knew that his boss would tell him he couldn’t investigate. He said it really should go to the AG. I said I had already tried to report it to the AG but they told me that they can’t take complaints from citizens; it has to be referred to them by law enforcement. He said that was a lie (which I already knew), as was the FBI’s same lie to me. He agreed to send the case to the AG. After several weeks I called back to check on the status. He told me he had been told that he not only couldn’t investigate, he also could not refer it to the AG. I asked for the reason for that and if it was standard procedure and he said it was not standard procedure but would not say what reason was given. I reported it to the AG’s office and they sent it to that great law enforcement body, the SOS’s office (/s)

IOW, from the very local police right on up to the top, the players will all do as they are told, and that has NOTHING to do with justice or truth.

We had the same thing with the military, in regards to Lt Col Terry Lakin, who refused to obey combat orders because he did not know whether they were lawful, since the Constitution does not allow a non-qualifying President elect to “act as President” and the War Powers Act and the Authorization to Use Force all require the consent of the Commander in Chief for lawful combat orders. He knew that the de facto officer doctrine would require him to obey the orders even if they were unlawful, but he was willing to take the penalty for disobeying for the sake of the greater good of having it sorted out whether the orders WERE lawful - whether Obama CAN lawfully “act as President” under the 20th Amendment.

Immediately the cry went out that he was a fool and a bad man because he didn’t “just follow orders”. Judging by the responses I got here, the general idea was that unless an officer tells you to murder and rape in cold blood, you have to do what they say and if you question it you are the bad guy.

That push was critical to everything Obama is about, because if the underlings all know they will be derided and thrown under the bus if they resist tyrannical leadership, very few of them will raise a peep but will simply do what they are told to do. That means that as long as Obama can get LEADERS who will give the unconstitutional orders, the entire military will become his killing machine for him. So what is he doing now? He’s purging the leadership of anybody who has a problem with ordering troops to fire on Americans. With the help of some folks here at FR (and elsewhere) he has reduced the number of military people willing to do the Oath Keepers thing - which means that once he purges the military leadership of all the Constitution-minded people, he has effectively taken over the whole military machine, except for a few stray Constitutionalists who will quickly be beaten down.

I think we make a mistake if we assume that the little people (in law enforcement, military, Congress, courts, media, academia, etc) are willing to rise to defend the Constitution by disobeying orders given by their leaders under the cover of lawfulness. How many people are willing to get the treatment that Lakin got - even by people who otherwise talk a pretty piece about conservatism and the Constitution? When the machine has been taken over by the enemy, the only resistance available is to actually break the laws. How many people are willing to break laws in order to defy their tyrannical (but lawfully empowered) leaders?

Do we have any idea how soon this equipment will be available to DHS?

IIRC, the air defense (blimps) for our southern border is supposed to be shut down on March 15th and nothing is set to replace them. Unless I’m misunderstanding something, that leaves our southern airspace undefended - which is well within missile distance for an Iranian EMP launched from Venezuela.

I’m trying to get an idea of the potential timing of whatever event they are preparing for.

I have no idea if these first 400 refurbished ASVs will be in Army or DHS markings.

Probably they will be naminally assigned to “base security” duty as a cover, at first.

Of course, NorthCom will be “assisting” the DHS, so there won’t be a real difference in the end.

I gave you the sources and links-——but you have to factor in the mindset of these crooks.

They have a gazillion ways to make money disappear.

Wall Streeter Jon Corzine walked away w/ a billion investor dollars-—as governor, he bankrupted numerous state agencies. $8 billion disappeared from one state agency, alone.

There are numerous havens where crooks can deposit money no questions asked. A crook can debark in Israel go to a bank w a suitcase full of cash and noone asks where it came from.

Madoff went to jail for running a Ponzi scheme-—but he was also laundering billions for “investors” hiding money from the IRS.

I could go on and on.......
