I honestly do not know the exact senate rules on filibuster. As you probably are aware, this filibuster’s objective is not to stop the CIA nominee, but rather to have the senate vote on the constitutionality of killing a US citizen on US soil who is not an IMMINENT threat or in in the process of committing a grievous act of terror such as the 911 attack.
Ted Cruz, a real statesman.

Good job, Rand. You not only showed up the administration as a bunch of lawless thugs, you also did a good job of separating the good guys from the bad in the Republican party.

Now let’s see how the (R) contingent votes, UNLESS they get the Administration concession regarding the drones on Americans deal. I’m a bit surprised they didn’t bring up the 1.2 billion bullet buy or the domestic military tank buy by DHS.
The more I see Rand Paul on TV or video, more impressed I get. He is calm, collected, thoughtful, lot of common sense, good handle on knowledge of issues, and he obviously has stamina to not go to the bathroom for 12 hours+ !! I have not seen him get the deer in headlights look in front of any interviewer.
Don’t get your hopes up too high, the country clubbers and seasoned politicians will not bother fighting.
Fell asleep watching Rand Paul last evening.
