Most Germans regard social justice and fairness as the most important issue for Germany’s upcoming general election, a recent poll revealed—something the center-left opposition is hoping to use to unseat Chancellor Merkel.

For 54 percent of voting-age Germans asked by opinion polling association Insa, how a party approached social justice was the most important issue for them in choosing whom to vote for in September. This was even higher in the over-45 category, in which 60 percent named it as their priority. …

Social justice and fairness being the most important issues tells me about as much as saying puffy clouds and lollipops are most on Germans’ minds as they head to the polls.

Near as I can tell, “social justice” is like regular justice, only unjust.

Western Europe is surrendering to the invaders without a shot being fired. Western Civilization is the only Civilization in history to be overturned solely by means of words. It is amazing for that reason.

“social justice” = moochers demanding more “free stuff,” confiscated from their neighbors at the point of a gun and handed over in exchange for votes.

It sounds just like America’s Democrats.

"Would you vote for an anti-Euro party?"

94% of over 30,000 respondents (beat that, polling institutes with your 1,000 questioned) say YES. Poll by a left-leaning publication, btw.

“Social justice” is a weasel term. After all, as there is no form of justice which is not among people, so there can be no form of justice which is NOT social. So what do these people mean by the redundancy “social” justice? They actually mean something quite the opposite of justice: something more like slavery.

I prefer classic justice: life, liberty, property.

We have the same sort of sleight of hand in our politics, such as FDR’s attempt to foist on us the “Four Freedoms.” The “rights” in the UN Declaration are another example.

A prominent movie star recently said that, because all people need water, access to water is a “right.” Actually, clean water is indeed a good thing, and is desirable, and even necessary. That means that it is an economic good. Like all economic goods, it must be obtained by human effort. But is is not a right, in the sense that an authority should give it to you. Nor does one have the right to demand than neighbors provide ones water (or food, medical care, education, entertainment, &c.)

If we do not get these distinctions right, we are in for a complete social breakdown: a life where we must fight to defend anything that we have. This is what will happen when government becomes a monster, when its main function should be merely to keep peace, so that people can carry on their lives free from attack by pillagers and bandits.

They mean “socialist” justice.

"They" would be the pollers then?

“The topic of social justice is important but it is not the only issue,” said Insa head Hermann Binkert. He added that if all the parties decided to concentrate primarily on this area, the CDU and FDP could damage their support base.

The 'support base' of the CDU and FDP is currently the majority.

What does 'social justice' even mean, in the context of the poll (how were the questions phrased, exactly?) and in general? Read the comments to the posted article.

Anyone I know would define that term as stopping payments to welfare scoungers and kicking out foreign (=muzzie) criminals and welfare scroungers first and foremost. Now THAT is social justice. It doesn't equate to 'socialism.'

The Swiss have just voted to cap bankers bonuses. The Germans have that one up for a vote as well, they are also debating capping private business managers income as well.
That will include Entrepreneurs. How many people will still place their money at jeopardy, open businesses and employ people?
Long live redistribution!!!!!!!
