Interesting Article. I know people are rightly concerned with "social justice," (I am too) but I think it does take on a different connotation when your talking about a completely unstable, dysfunctional economic and political system where people are legitimately poor (not food stamps for iphones poor). People are either corrupt or have no idea how to fix it. (well, with Obama, we're headed that way).

I remember reading in a Mark Steyn (?) book once that although the US has exported its popular culture all over the world, we haven't exported our capitalist system very well.

“social justice” means an altogether different thing to the Catholic Church than to the Leftist political activists who have hijacked the term making it virtually meaningless to most of us, but in fact used to camouflage their political aims. This article did not give me comfort about the new Pope’s “Social Justice” view. It seems the opposition to the Kirchners is based on Christina’s support of Gay Marriage. (I would also reckon he is not found of that corruption is still rampant under Christina.) However, the concern I have is the Church’s naivety that it can follow a path that on the one hand that supports economic Socialism and on another path be steadfast to cultural conservatism. History tells us the two are inseparable. I worry the new Pope’s Social Justice is even worse than past European Pope’s that embraced Socialism.
