The family of a Raleigh man who was pulled over by Cary police Tuesday want answers after they say he was tasered and ended up in the hospital.
According to police spokeswoman Susan Moran, Michael Anthony Peacock, 41, was pulled over about 6 p.m. at Lake Pine Drive and Maynard Road for speeding. Officers said Peacock failed to comply and began running from police, who pursued him.
Police confirmed that officers used a Taser on Peacock, and that he did fall and suffer injuries. His family said he had a fractured skull and broken back.
"His nerves are damaged," Phyllis Cook, Peacock's mother said. "His prognosis to ever walk again is very slim."

“He was just starting to turn his life around....”
“His prognosis to ever walk again is very slim.”
On the plus side, he won’t be running from the cops anymore.
Starting with OJ’s disgusting acquittal of the two brutal murders that surprised even him, it’s quite obvious that any and all “black” criminals will never be considered guilty by anybody.
Look at that disgusting 3-day carnage going on in New York over the death of some criminal. Nope, he’s “black” and therefore is not expected to be considered guilty.
I've said it before, I'll say it again: No Police administered @$$ whooping ever began with "Yes sir" or "No sir".
Where's his father . . . just kidding
Reminds me of the parrot joke, “I thought you might be my son.”
LOL, I can’t say but criminal is 41 and the Mama shown on the WRAL website video looks to be about 50-55.
For the real fun, here’s the link to his criminal record, which includes assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.
“habitual felon” = “my boy is a good boy”
He flipped the cops the “bird” and then took off.
At WRAL the families of the most outrageous thugs always “want answers” after their “good boy” gets a small piece of what he deserves. A few of the commenters usually oblige.
I really didn’t have to see the picture to know that he was one of the son’s of Oblama.
Actually, sir, I work in Cary - for a major international corportation. Otherwise I would not come near it. :-)
Yeah, although I’m in Raleigh, I haven’t been to the Peoples Republic of Chapel Hill in years. I think the last time I went was sometime in the ‘90s to see Eric Clapton at the Smith center, lol. No love lost.
I live in Cary. Not far from this incident.
While not the sleepy bedroom community it used to be, it’s pretty nice.
Waaaay better than the hell hole I came from, Miami.
Well yeah, much better than S. Florida.
I’ve been in Wake County since 1971 when Cary was a little crossroads town in the woods, though. Concentrated Area of Relocated Yankees* has certainly grown up since then!
*What Cary is an acronym for :-)
Big trouble if he had a bag of skittles.
