I don’t get all the bad mouthing.

I don't either, they're the same types of people who drop into a Rush thread and bad mouth him.

Nobody wants them, nobody invited them and nobody gives a rat's ass about what they say. But yet they feel it necessary to drop their negative crap simply because they want an argument.........

It doesn’t advance the plot, it doesn’t add to the character development.

It's kept you watching hasn't it?

Maybe, but I don't understand why the Governor hasn't killed him already.

In terms of series continuation, what would that have accomplished?

I think that once the Governor plot is over, it’ll be the last we see of Woodbury and its inhabitants. So (we can hope, Woodbury is getting old), Milton’s time is limited.

If I’m writing the show, what else do I need Milton to accomplish to move the ball forward? He’ll be gone soon anyway. Why not have the governor do the rational thing and off Milton? He obviously doesn’t have a problem with killing people.

To add drama and plot to the upcoming episodes........

“Maybe. But we’ve also seen some evidence that the zombies can perform basic functions, like opening doors. In the pilot or maybe second episode—I can’t remember which—Morgan’s zombie wife tries to open the door to their house, which was locked. In the episode when Andrea was attacked in the RV, the door was shut and the zombie got in. “

Still can’t buy it. Zombies are not stealthy. I think you would hear one trying to work the knob. They also tend to shuffle their feet when they walk, and when they see the living they moan. How can you miss that in a quiet house especially when on high alert?

As for not letting in new people I think its not just about trust. I think Rick doesnt want to be responsible for more people who might get killed. They are quite a formidable group. A delusional leader, his tween son, 2 females who barely know how to shoot, the wannabe badazz sexpot, her somewhat capable lover, a crippled old guy, and a truly capable fighter. The addition of sword girl and the 1 armed badazz does improve things, but they might just kill each other.

Since it's already been reported that Milton is now off on another career filming, it's assumed that he is going to be eliminated by the Gov.

In staying with the theme of the Gov. being a psychopath, I suspect Milton is going to be killed in the most gruesome way the Gov. can come up with in an effort for the writers to show just how demented the Governor really is........

How gruesome that is, I'll leave that up to your imagination........but looking at the aftermath of the Walker fire pit, it's going to be bad.

And also because he was not right in the head (seeing Lori, talking to dead people on the phone, etc.). Has he snapped back after that trip to visit Morgan?

I predict Milton will end up in Rick’s group just because every show has to have at least 1 gay character.

I wish it was so since Milton is a nice guy.

Unfortunately the Gov knows it was Milton who set fire to the walker pit and the Gov. is about to show how demented he is by eliminating Milton in probably the most gruesome display of murder we have seen.......

“One would think that with your superior intellect and insight, the mere title of the series “the Walking Dead” would have kept you from even watching the first episode.”

It doesnt take a navy seal or a genius to know that in zombieland you need to keep your head on a swivel and ears open at all times. These people walk around like its Sunday in the park. How else do you explain how slow non-stealthy Zeds are constantly surprizing them?

As a post script, it wouldn’t surprise me if the governor shackled Milton in the torture room and unleashed several walkers on him.......

Then Milton would finally know what it is like to be a zombie. It would be his heart’s desire! ;-)

OR- Gov roughs up Andrea some and during a preemptive attack on Woodbury, she is freed by Milton and they rejoin Ricks group in the confusion. We’ll have to wait and see.

Since you are obviously an expert in military training, WHY ARE YOU WATCHING THIS SHOW?

Look dude, the majority of us enjoy this program for what it is, we don't need individuals like you dropping in and turning these threads into something about you.

You obviously don't like the program so do the rest of us a favor and don't watch it and stay off our threads.......

Is that too much to ask?????

It's kept you watching hasn't it?

No, it has not kept me watching. What has kept me watching is that they have done an extremely good job on creating atmosphere, it is well-casted with interesting characters, they put those characters in interesting situations, and they have included the "action" in a manner that allows it to serve as backdrop, and doesn't devolve into a video game atmosphere.

The mistakes they have made haven't yet been severe enough to make the show unwatchable (although the latest The Governor is actually Jason episode comes close). Everyone reacts to shows, movies, and books differently. Some people seem to look past sloppy writing, whereas with me, it is grating. Either way, they have created a good show, that is falling short of greatness.

This thread was based on an article critical of the series. I would contend that it is actually "our" thread. And you are welcome to join it, but don't be surprised if you run into people who think that the writers of this show are in the process of blowing a golden opportunity. As far as your request for us to not watch the show ... when you grant me the right to dictate your viewing habits, I will consider your request to dictate mine.
